TuneQueue!!
Thank You Man,
I tried with diff playlist and config file for each instance of ices process. It is working..
Initially it is support only 2 instance, after i changed the source directive in the icecast.xml file it is supporting more than the default one.
.Fine..
Now as Thomas to;d i downloaded the tunequeue tar file from sourceforge.
But According to the INSTALL file

RE: Hai To ALL!!
Welcome kadhiravan,
Good questions. I'm not a guru and may be wrong, but here's my understanding
of the answers:
1. You able to stream two seperate playlists by running two seperate
instances of icecast2/ices2 each with there own distinct config files,
playlists and mountpoints.
2. As your stream is a broadcast and not on-demand playback, I'm not sure if
it's possible for

Web Based scheduler like LiveSupport for icecast
You might like my project called tunequeue, though it might be overkill or
too much effort to install. It does provide a web interface to ices and
allows fairly complex scheduling. It is perl with a mysql backend.

disable ID3 update
Hi,
I'm running Aaron's tunequeue scripts for my radio site. (tunequeue.sf.net)
I have ices2 to read Ogg Vorbis files and feed the icecast2 server with
those files.
Could someone please tell me how can I disable ID3 updating? I want all
clients to only show the name of the radio, but don't get any of the ID
tag information stored in the Ogg files.
Where can I set that?
Sorry for

Web Based scheduler like LiveSupport for icecast
I've thought about it briefly (I'm in the same boat as you, but I've
been tinkering with making my own interface) and I more or less came to
the conclusion that it was more complicated than it was worth, for me at
least. For my purposes having spoken content recorded beforehand,
uploaded, added to the playlist and played back a couple hours later was
good enough.
What you might

Web Based scheduler like LiveSupport for icecast
I've been scouring the web for a web based scheduler for use with
icecast. Here is what I'm looking for:
I want to be able to say "at X time, Y file/playlist will play"
I want to be able to control icecast from the web
I want to be able to lock control of this site with some form of
authentication
Preferably PHP, but ruby/rails would be good too.
Any suggestions?

Access for scripting??? Displaying play history
They are on the Shoutcast list, so that may be what they are using.
Shoutcast does provide an XML file that has past and current song data.
I suppose with a bit of XSLT magic, I could use that. I'd rather use
icecast. :-)

Icecast Customizations
All,
This is a mix between a request for help and an oh gee wiz type of
question. I want to know how, if it is able to be shown (some people
don't like to share how they made their stuff unique so I am cool with
that) different ways they have customized their Icecasts. I have a
server(set) that is running fine now, and I want to grow it out in some
way (different streams for

Web application to feed icecast
Hello,
i guess this question appeared before, but I haven't found anything by
searhing the whole morning.
I know that some web radio stations use icecast2. They also have a web
application that makes it possible to request songs, add items to the
playlist of the source client and so on. Most of the web radios have
developed the web application by itself (i guess so).
I'm not able to

Printing from Linux to Windows 2000
I've seen a lot on printing from Win boxes to printers on Linux boxes. I've
found very little on printing from Linux to Windows printers. The HOWTO has
some information and I've found several other sources, but I still can't get
my Linux box to print to a Windows 2000 printer.
I'm using Mandrake Linux 8.2, Samba 2.2.3a, CUPS (I'm not sure of the version,

voice quality of Aastra 480i CT and cordless
Hi Folks,
Looking for feedback on the cordless phones with the Aastra 480i CT handset. Is voice quality comparable to standard consumer residential 2.4GHz cordless phones in the US$30 - $50 price range, or better/worse?
How about handset and speakerphone quality for the main phone?
Seems like there have been various big issues with firmware in past, but is it pretty stable now?
Thanks,

httpd process size
I run two FreeBSD servers (4.8-STABLE), one is mine and another is a friend's. I have Apache 1.3.27 with PHP 4.3.1 as a module running on both of them. The configurations on both Apache installs are almost identical. Running top on my machine reveals that the size of the httpd processes are huge, 146M to be exact. On my friend's box, they're ~5.8M, which seems more reasonable. I've

Samba and winbind with LDAP IDMAP backend - user connects with Domain Admin permissions
Hi,
Please Help! My normal users are able to gain access to all home
directories even though the group owner is Domain Admins. I have set the
permissions to 770 while testing and the group to Domain Admin on all
directories.
I have a Server2003 AD Domain with a clustered RHEL5 samba server for
the home directory. I am using samba 3.0.23 with Winbind and LDAP idmap
backend. This server is
