Resco Radio and Icecast
Yes, I can verify that Resco Radio is a problem with Icecast2 streams. I had contacted the author months ago with information as to how to fix this, but I don't believe a fix has been released. Some players that have Icecast2 compatibility issues can be made to work with Icecast2 servers by disabling Burst on Connect, and changing Metadata Interval to 8192. This doesn't always work,

FREE AAC/aacPlus Plugin for WMP Supports Icecast2
A FREE AAC/aacPlus Plugin for Microsoft Windows Media Player that fully supports the Icecast2 Server is available for download here: http://www.orban.com/plugin FYI: This plugin supports .asx for Windows Media Player NOT .pls or .m3u. Also streams can be opened directly by using newly created UIL redirectors, e.g., icyx:// instead of http:// and rtpx:// instead of rtsp://. This is all covered

FREE AAC/aacPlus Plugin for WMP Supports Icecast2
Ok, I read the Read Me. So icyx://boa.mediacast1.com:9292/stream.aac works. I don't understand why the http syntax cannot be made to work. This works fine for Ogg Vorbis streams using the Illumination DirectShow filter. Winamp v5.22 / oddcast / aac+
I believe that Oddsock is using a Content Type of aacp. Using a .aac extension with this Content Type may present a conflict. This might actually be by design. I will do some further testing with Winamp and report here tomorrow. I will also double-check with the developer of Winamp for complete clarification. FYI, Orban Opticodec-PC allows the use of either Content Type of aac or aacp. aac is

3GPP and 3Gpp2 Support
Are there any plans to provide support to stream to cellphones ? If my understanding is correct, this requires 3Gpp, RTP/RTSP support. I see that apple has a stream server for this. Randy

dir.xiph.org only listing Ogg streams
Anyone wanting their AAC/HE-AAC/aacPlus stream(s) listed on Tuner2, please send request(s) with relevant information to me directly. This is free and does not require an Orban Opticodec-PC Encoder. This will also help lighten the load for Xiph. -greg. ORBAN. At 01:45 2006-06-19, Michael Smith wrote: >On 6/19/06, paranoid <paranoid@dds.nl> wrote: > >>To me, that would not be

Log analysis
Hi everyone, Ok, so I admit I'm asking this to avoid having to do my own research. but I'm also asking in the hopes of avoiding doing my own scripting. ACB Radio is looking at moving across to Icecast. There's really not a lot to stop us at this point. But we are keen to retain access to total listener hours, average listen time and amount of data served per mountpoint. I

AAC support?
on the download page for icecast, I can read in the icecast-2.2.0 changelog that there's support for AAC: AAC is added as a supported streaming format Not too many source clients support streaming in this format, but we support it. but when looking at the source code for icecast-2.2.0, I can't find reference to AAC anywhere. in particular, in format.c the format_get_type function only

Can't change server_URL data
Hi all, I'm using the Orban aacplus encoder, which sends the stream to my Icecast server. The Orban encoder allows one to set the station name, stream title etc but there is no place for the station url, I suspect this has been hardcoded in as I've noticed a number of other stations using Orban's encoder also have links back to their web site. Is there a way to change or overide this

ezstream grabing line-in input?... (newbie)
Hello all friends! I have downloaded the latest ezstream (0.2.0) for Windows version, but I have faced some issues... First of all, on the installation process, it neither makes the desktop icon as it says it would do, nor creates a program group folder on the startup menu. Anyway, I try to finf on my Program Files folder and run in DOS mode the ezstream.exe I want to ask if I can grab the
