fully virt Xen DomU network question
Hello all fellow CentOS users!
I have a working xen setup with 3 paravirt domUs and one Windblows 2003
fully virt domU.
There are to virtual networks.
As far as I can tell in the paravirt Linux DomUs I have gigabit
networking, but not in the fully virt Windows 2003 domU....
Is there a setting for this, or is it not yet supported?
I run xen-3.0.3-64.el5_2.3
Kind regards,
Coert

sharing NFS mounts
OK, I've been searching the archives and google with little luck...
I have a directory which needs to be shared with a number of UNIX
clients via NFS and with Windows clients via Samba. What is the best
way to do this? Should I configure Samba to share the actual NFS mount?
Or should I configure Samba to share the actual filesystem directory?
Reason I ask, we were using the former method

Different sings for correlations in OLS and TSA
Dear list,
I am trying to re-analyse something. I do have two time series, one
of which (ts.mar) might help explaining the other (ts.anr). In the
original analysis, no-one seems to have cared about the data being
time-series and they just did OLS. This yielded a strong positive
correlation.
I want to know if this correlation is still as strong when the
autocorrelations are taken into account.

Log says yp updated but does not appear at dir.xiph.org
On Windows XP I am running WinAMP to the Shoutcast server and then using
an Icecast 2.2.0 server as a relay. The idea is to have a single source
stream appear on both Shoutcast and Icecast directories.
The log gives the following lines repeatedly but my server does not show
when I search for it at http://dir.xiph.org and does not appear under
the Icecast Stream Directory on WinAmp.

MusicOnHold (MOH) silent on BudgeTone-100 only.
I have the MusicOnHold feature working great when called from ATA-186
extensions. It's pretty cool.
However, when I call from a BudgeTone-100 phone, no music is heard --
instead it continues the ringing feedback and acts like the call is
unanswered. At the same time, I can call from (multiple) ATA-186
extensions and hear music as long as I like. How can I debug this?
As far as I can tell,

Mystery SIP channels
Has anyone seen this before? This channel is consistently present on
both of my asterisk servers. Sometimes they disappear for a few seconds
and then come back. It always has the same Call ID.

Samba 4 RPC hangs after a while
Hello all,
?
this is my first Post in a Mailing List I hope everything goes fine.
?
We are running a Samba 4 DC (4.0.14, Version 4.1.4 has the same problem) as a second DC in our Windows Environment. This server is in a second site.
?
So after a while Samba 4 hangs and it is not possible to talk to the server via the RPC Protocol. So all samba-tools Commands like ?samba-tool drs showrepl? run

1.8.2.4: SIP dialogs not killed?
Hi,
I'm wondering if this is normal asterisk behaviour:

[LLVMdev] Unwinds gone missing
After much delay, I have finally reached the point in my work where I
need to implement some kind of exception handling. I understand that
"unwind" is currently unimplemented and will remain so for the
forseeable future.
In the mean time, are there any examples available for implementing Java
or Python-style exceptions using __cxa_throw or something similar? I've
read and

More Benchmarks, and a question about indexing
Hi,
We are thinking of converting to Dovecot to lighten our I/O load. I have done
some performace tests comparing UW-IMAP to Dovecot when using mbox format if
anyone is interested. They primarily examine the I/O improvements that can be
gained from using Dovecot over UW when staying with mbox format:

FWD SIP phone format=2, FWD call format=4, why?
Hi!
I'm trying an asterisk-FWD connection. I'm using X-Lite OR SIPPS as the
IP phone. I configured the X-Lite and SIPPS to use GSM codec. Whe I
call FWD, I get this info on the channels when the call has not been
stablished yet:

Codec negotiation for Thomson ST2030 and g729
Hi all,
i'm trouble with codec setup on an asterisk machine 1.4.18 and some
Thomson ST2030 as extensions.
In the users.conf file for internal extension i have:
disallow=all
allow=g729
allow=alaw
allow=ulaw
Without any codec installed (i mean with original g729 of asterisk)
all go fine, calling from an extension to one other:

Can someone recommend the best way to view current calls in progress on the Asterisk console?
Neither the 'show channels' or 'sip show channels' commands are easy to read.

[PATCH] hivex: Add O_BINARY flag to open calls for platforms where this isn't the default (such as Win32)
Hi
As my cross platform registry editor (FRED available from
https://www.pinguin.lu (sorry for advertising but I couldn't resist
;-))) is evolving, I recently added write support to it.
While under Linux everything worked nice, the Windblows build didn't.
It seems that Windows opens files by default in text mode (O_TEXT) which
is a problem. The attached patch adds the O_BINARY flag to

AMI column widths
Hi.
I'm trying to get a list of the channels currently in use on an Asterisk server (1.8.32.1 if it matters) over AMI.
I send the command "sip show channels", and I get back a response along the lines of (* used to protect the innocent...):
