Peak Listeners and Keeping idle mounts
I have two questions...
When I disconnect from my Icecast mount (when broadcasting), I want the
following to happen...
1. The "Peak Listeners" count to not be reset to 0 the next time I connect
2. For the mount to remain present (so that my listeners don't get a 404
error and remain listening to silence until I reconnect.
Is this possible?
Thanks in advance,

Listener statistics on a fallback stream

Well, the fallback mount is still a mount-point nonetheless. you could
still use it as a "regular" mount-point even if its configured as a
fallback to another.
Now, as for the statistics, should we be able to help without knowing

There are a solution ?
Karl u say,
have an encoder send a never ending playlist to djs.ogg on your dj
icecast and have each dj mountpoint state a fallback of djs.ogg. That
way the listener relay will always pick something up.
<p>So it´s very simple, i do a dj with the ircbrasil.ogg and a fallback
playlist.ogg
o, when onde disconnect for the other enter, the playlist will assume and
my listenners will not

Listener statistics on a fallback stream
Hello,
I've come across a small problem and I'm not sure it's a bug or a
misconfiguration in icecast, so I thought I'd ask here.
The situation: we have an automated radio station that is fed from a
dedicated virtual machine with SAM broadcaster. I set up a stream with a
fallback mount; SAM connects to the fallback. Now, whenever the DJ wants
to broadcast live all he has to do is

Icecast2 Station with multiple scheduled DJs?
At WXBH-LP we had a similar need, and we solved it using mpd (music
player daemon) to coordinate our feed to icecast.
mpd is a music player (supporting playlists, etc.) originally designed
for local network streaming, but it has several attributes that make it
suitable for other things:
* Items in its playlists can be local audio files or remote streams
(e.g. DJ streams).
* It

Playing a recorded mp3 file like a livestream
Hi,
For question 3, I think there is ezstream (https://icecast.org/ezstream/) which can to an endless loop like you wish. All files should (actually must) be encoded in the format of your stream.
Also I would setup the mpuntpoints in a row:
- live mp with fallback to ezstream mp
- ezstream mp with fallback to static file
So if ezstream fails you deliver the static file.

Stream fallbacks/spillovers/splashing
The fallback feature works perfectly for us. I don't see anything that
would be considered a bug.
We have 3 streams, /stream /mp3 /live
/stream always fallsback to /live
/live always fallsback to /mp3
/mp3 is always playing random mp3's from the collection (always on)
People listen to the stream using /stream
If a dj connects to /live then the people listening to /stream will hear

Icecast2 Station with multiple scheduled DJs?
I have been playing with Icecast only for a couple of days, and I am trying to figure out how to do something.
I want a listener to have to only deal with one stream, but I want to be able to switch the source of that stream between multiple sources (DJs). The core idea is that the listener only deals with /live.mp3 while in the background I can problematically switch between a series of live

Playing a recorded mp3 file like a livestream
Hello,
in advance: You can also answer me in German.
I know Icecast over 10 years very well. My problem is this and I am
trying to describe it very short:
If my Icecast stream/mount is offline, a recorded MP3 file should be
played via the Icecast mount. The mount is configured as follows:
<mount>
<mount-name>/LiveStream1.mp3</mount-name>
