Webalizer + IceCast2 logfile?
Is it possible?
Basically, I want to process the IceCast2 logfile in the same way as I
process my Apache server logs? I tried a dry run, and it reported an
error with regards to the "date" field - I am currently replacing the
date field text "Eastern Standard Time" with the text "-400", to see if
that would fix it (that how it is in my Apache logfile). I will

So what does everyone out there use to generate web statistics these
days? Are the tried and true awstats or webalizer still the best out
there?

[OT] Lighttpd + AWStats
Hello ~
I have posted a tutorial on my blog,
http://www.benr75.com/pages/lighttpd_awstats_tutorial, on how to get
AWStats and Lighttpd to work together. I thought it might be of interest to
Rails folk as I know many run Light.
Enjoy,

/usr/local/awstats/wwwroot/cgi-bin/awstats.pl -config=yyy.com -update
Say every 15 mins?

Strange change in icecast kh14 for IP logging
The problem is for statistics tools like Webalizer, which is expecting CLF log format
Common Log Format (CLF)
"%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b"
NCSA extended/combined log format
"%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b \"%{Referer}i\" \"%{User-agent}i\""
Referer log format
"%{Referer}i -> %U"
Agent (Browser) log format

does IceCast & listeners logging
Thanks for your answer Chris.
Nevertheless I just can't see the event you're talking about in my access.log file. I mean the time of the end of listening for each
user and the amount of bytes transfered !
Maybe because I'm just a beginner in IceCast... Could you give me an example of a log file (just a part) that shows this
notification ?
For example on my ShoutCast log tells me :

Re: STATs tools?
I just wanted to point out that it's "stats", not "STATs".
"Stats" is not an acronym! It's an abbreviation; it's short for
"statistics".

Hour by Hour statistics
Hi all,
I've used awstats in the past to get stats on our radio shows but I'm
looking for statistics for every hour of the day, something that
awstats doesn't support (unless there's a nice hack out there)
Ie I want to be able to tell the DJ who has a show 2pm to 3pm on a
Monday how many listeners he had.
Has anyone seen a project that would do this?

Please don't change the ordering of the fields. It's quite deliberately
ordered for compatibility with the Apache Common Log Format. (hmm... or is it
the Combined Log Format? I forget...)

Connecting two rsync clients
Hi,
Firstly a quick intro, I'm a web developer/linux admin who's trying to
setup automated backups for a client. I really like the look of rsync
and I know it'll do what I want if I can get it to ;)
I've spent some time playing with rsync trying to get it to do what I
want but I keep getting stumped. The situation is simple, webserver

Web Based scheduler like LiveSupport for icecast
I've been scouring the web for a web based scheduler for use with
icecast. Here is what I'm looking for:
I want to be able to say "at X time, Y file/playlist will play"
I want to be able to control icecast from the web
I want to be able to lock control of this site with some form of
authentication
Preferably PHP, but ruby/rails would be good too.
Any suggestions?

analytics
Hello all,
We (at ibiblio.org) are evaluating several projects and products for
getting good analytics from icecast. Specifically, we have explored
cacti and awstats. I am writing because I would like users of this
list to send me their experiences with analytics and monitoring
packages and products. I would like details such as time for initial
deployment, time and steps to add an addiitonal

.htaccess for script aliased directories
With the great assistance I got here I was able to get .htaccess to work on a centos 5.1 box running Apache 2.2.3 a few days ago.
One other question. I am trying to protect a sub dir within the web space of a domain that is serving site statistics of awstats generated pages. The path to the dir is /home/user1/www/awstats. When testing, I am able to get a username and password prompt for the

Problem with RMA using limma, oligo and pdInfoBuilder packages
Hi,
I am a Ph.D. student from Québec, Canada. I’m a beginner with R and

microarray data using affy and limma packages. Now I am trying to analyze
Rat Gene 10 st arrays and I would like to run RMA analysis and Smyth
moderated t test on those arrays. Since no cdf official package is available
for those arrays, after reading many
