I think so. :)
I'd be surprised if it ran on windows though.

Re: desire box
I know SAM2 (or rather, SAM3 now) has this functionality built-in:
http://spacialaudio.com/
It is disabled by default and difficult to step though. Not to mention the
cost of the entire application.
What I found worked the best for me is to have my website output to a file
whatever song somebody clicked on. A script would check the file every few
seconds, and then execute my media player with

on-disconnect -> streamtranscoderv3 (linux server)
hi,
so far I'm very happy that I have running an icecast server with
streamtranscoder which autimatically transcodes a certein mountpoit
(ogg-high-quality) to low, mid and high mp3 stream on-connect.
but I'm stuck with two problems:
1. how to determine which stramtranscoderv3 process is reencoding this
particular stream? because doing <on-disconnect> just

What's best practice for serving multiple formats from a remote icecast server?
We are running an icecast2 server in conjunction with our LPFM radio
station and need a little advice.
We have been serving a single 128k ogg stream from a remote server and
would like to make additional formats available (e.g. mp3, lower
bandwidth, etc.)
I would think this has been done a few thousand times and there would be
a "best practice" but I can't find it.

desire box
Hi:
Oddsock's songrequester plugin for Winamp might be the kind of thing you
want. http://www.oddsock.org/tools/gen_songrequester
Can't make any real good suggestions for non-windows operating systems, but
there might be something out there.

Multiple mount points without dynamic reencoding
Hello:
I am running the icecast2.3.2 server and ices0.4 with a perl script
which provides the filename of the next track to play. I am reencoding
in advance using ffmpeg, which has been very reliable. My main stream is
mp3, 64kbps / 44.1 kHz (mono) and I have pre-reencoded the tracks to
32kbps / 22.05 kHz (mono), for a lower data rate stream. At this time, I
have not figured out how to get a

MP3. LAME does not do MP3Pro. And in fact, the stream that is reencoded
will also only be a reencode of the MP3-compatible layer of the MP3Pro
stream, as Ices does not know how to decode MP3Pro streams

elegant way of re-encoding?
Hi,
Now that I've been able to look at streamtranscoder 3.0, I see there's
absolutely no documentation whatsoever. I've not compiled it, but I note
that previously when you ran it first time, it would create a sample config
file for you to edit. Maybe it still does this.
Oddsock's flash demo may shed more light on this, but I can't use it so
don't know.

OGG --> MP3 conversion app?
hello all
does anyone know of a utility convert OGG to MP3 and prehapes MP3 to OGG?
While i use ogg for everything on my computer, my discman only plays MP3
files, so a nice program where i can drag and drop folders to reencode
to MP3 would be a very nice thing to have indeed. Kinda like oggdrop but
mp3drop.
if there isn't i might just attempt to write one (i'm just 1st year

Thanx Keith.
It was an issue with flac. ices04. requires an older version of flac.
Opensuse 11.3 had a newer version. I just un-installed flac ( you loose flac
