Icecast streaming https
I am struggling to get icecast running with https, but I cannot get it working My environment is: Debian 10 (Buster) I tried the standard debian package but there is no SSL capability at all. So I compiled the icecast-2.4.4.tar.gz contents with ./configure --with-curl --with-openssl; make; make install I always get the error: [2020-02-05 17:35:36] INFO connection/get_ssl_certificate

[OT] Online music database
I'd search freshmeat/sourceforge/cpan before doing anything... there might already be a library or package for general-purpose web-grepping.. If not you can probably use a "HTML to ascii" converter (or some Perl/awk tag strip construct) which will reduce fluff in the pages. I find it easier to throw away data I know I _don't_ want first (though, if I knew regular expressions

Icecast streaming https
Hi These instructions are very useful, as previously shared: - https://serverok.in/centovacast-enable-ssl-on-icecast However, I think this step caused me problems using Letsencrypt (LE) and the icecast.pem file might have been in error: Paste your SSL in following order 1) Your private key 2) Your SSL cert 3) CA Bundle I don't think LE creates a 'CA Bundle'. Following some

Problem with Icecast as Windows-services
Hello, We have some problems to use icecast as a Windows Services. We have installed the latest Icecast version in Services mode. We start Icecast. We see an icecast-service running When we connect to the machine, streaming of a MP3-file (by using a M3U playlist) is OK But when we logoff our user, then we cannot get connection to the stream anymore. When we login again, we see icecast is in

(Already noting the posts that say this is not available) Are you willing to deal with "non authoritative" answers in your query? If so, you can write some scripts that talk CGI to a commercial music vendor. I use a (no longer available) MP3 tagger called "MP3 Internet Renamer". It would go out and request a web page from the "All Music Guide" (

This doesn't exist, some commercial entities have discussed setting this up but right now it's not there. <p>----- Original Message ----- From: "Leo Currie" <leo.currie@strath.ac.uk> To: <icecast@xiph.org> Sent: Wednesday, November 20, 2002 4:03 AM Subject: [icecast] [OT] Online music database <p>> Sorry this isn't really icecast related, but >

We are using icecast2.01 streaming software for our church home-listening system. Our client we use a netgem-netbox. We are streaming 25kbps MP3 on V90-56kbps modem connection After around 45 minutes after starting the cleint the icecast error.log reports:

Aliassing Icecast 2.1 Admin console
Hello, We are searching for a possibility of "aliassing without wasting bandwidth". It is described in the following section which we found at http://open4all.info/ossa/_Icecast_Streaming_Server. # What happens is that when a listeners connects to your server and # requests the /laika stream, then your icecast server will connect # as a client to my machine, and then feed my stream to

Icecast-dev Digest, Vol 154, Issue 2
I am struggling to get icecast running with https, but I cannot get it working My environment is: Debian 10 (Buster) Question 1: I tried the standard debian icecast2 package but there is no SSL capability at all. Is there a reason for this ? The icecast documentation mentions: Packages are built with openSSL enabled. Question 2: I tried to compile the latest version from github

Any android source client for icecast ?
Try "XIIALive Lite", it works perfectly for my Icecast/Vorbis stream. The 'lite' version is free and works fine (ad supported). *xiialive*.com // On 11/16/2011 06:33 AM, michel memeteau wrote: > Hi all , > > Just wondering if any Android icecast source is on the Way. > > the point is that I build a mobile Icecast source with 3G. Any android source client for icecast ?
He's asking for a SOURCE client, not a _listener_ client. I don't think such a thing exists at the moment. Any android source client for icecast ?
Hi all , Just wondering if any Android icecast source is on the Way. the point is that I build a mobile Icecast source with 3G. My choices are : - Buy a X86 netbook with Ubuntu with 8 hours streaming - Buy a GalaxyTab 7 inches ( same price ) on Android 2010/12/6 Leo Currie <leo.currie at gmail.com> > I don't have an Android phone, but if I did, I would look for a VLC >

How do I list in YP? icecast2 ices0
it was fixed a long time ago actually. The current YP is now benefitting from the changes made by me (with help from Karl), and yet despite the requests from both Karl and I recommending that these streams be allowed again, it falls on deaf ears. Ultimately it's up to Xiph to decide, although I was hoping that when the objection "it performs badly so we turned off all non-vorbis

Win32 not relaying ogg
Hi - This is my first post, so please excuse me if I screw up in any way :) I have been trying to get icecast to relay an Ogg Vorbis stream. I have the 1.3.7 win32 version and in the icecast.conf file i have alias radiofg.ogg http://ra.voila.fr:8000/radiofg.ogg I think that this should allow me to point a client at http://fusion1.studio.strath.ac.uk:8000/radiofg and the server will connect to

[OT] Online music database
Sorry this isn't really icecast related, but I'm looking for an online music database that will let me search by artist+track and retrieve the likely record label / music publisher that owns the copyright. I want to do this from within a script as well :) Hoping somebody might know of one off the top of their head... Cheers Leo <p><p><p>--- >8 ---- List archives:

How do I list in YP? icecast2 ices0
I thought the YP code was going to be fixed to use less resources so it could be used with other stream formats. It seems to be taking a long time. As it is now, Icecast2 is not a good solution for those wanting to be on a popular directory. I am forced to recommend using Shoutcast to my clients so they can get onto a popular directory. I would prefer to recommend Icecast2. Ross Levis.

How do I list in YP? icecast2 ices0
I only have mp3s and it doesn't make sense to me to change all of them to ogg. My MDA(windows mobile phone) plays mp3s with no problem. It uses them as ringtones. Its more widely used in my circles. Why would I and everyone else want to switch to ogg? What is the benefit? Why the shun on mp3? And I can stream at 64 and 32 which is great for those streams that will get a lot of
