looking for blind win32 users
I'm not blind but I write commercial broadcasting win32 software that a lot of blind users like and use, because it uses standard Windows controls; I always make sure everything can be done using keyboard shortcuts; and navigation is possible using tab. Now I know Oddcast is not one of the standard Ogg tools, but I thought I would take this opportunity to mention that it is almost

Two sources on one PC
you can run multiple instances of the standlone version of oddcastV3 by just installing it multiple times into different directories... all config files are kept locally. oddsock At 09:05 AM 2/9/2006, Geoff Shang wrote: >Hi, > >hmmm. Suggestion: The ability to limit the number of ICY connections
On Fri, 21 May 2004, Jack Moffitt wrote: > Maybe this is a stupid question, but why don't you just use Oddsock's > plugins which support the better protocol? Not a stupid question. There's three considerations. 1. This project has around fifty broadcasters. It has been running for 3.5 years, and whilst some have moved to using plugins like SAM which (presumably) does

Using aoTuV with Oddcast
Hi, Excuse my ignorance, I'm primarily a LInux user and don't have a Windows install on any hardware that's actually working at the moment. Is it possible to use aoTuV B3 with Oddcast? Is this simply a matter of replacing a DLL? If so, are there any precompiled DLLs anywhere, or is anyone with the appropriate tools prepared to cook one up for me? I have people who are probably

Vorbis streaming
Hi. Can anyone tell me the best way to stream Ogg Vorbis to an Icecast2 or compatible server under Windows? I would need something that doesn't rely heavily on graphics, as I have a blind friend who wishes to be able to do this. Thanks, Lorenzo <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list,

Win32 streamer?
Where do I get oddcast at? I did a search on winamp.com and nothing and I did a google group lookup to see if anyone was talking about it and I got back everything but what I was looking for. copy/paste from xiph.org/cvs.html would've done it :) John Watson wrote: > > Well, I got it and I can say I hate CVS. How to complie Icecast2 on Win32
Ok. Now it will run. But when i try to play back my stream(either ogg/vorbis or mp3) it sounds like the chipmunks. Could it be that I'm broadcasting at a sample rate of 22050 in mono? This shouldn't make a difference as the source is also 22050 samplerate and mono(its the line-in plugin for winamp). I'm using Winamp 2.81 with the is the Oddcast DSP for Winamp 2.xx plugin to

win32 SDK call for help
Ok, so I've taken hold of this, and since this appears to be the only thing holding up 1.0.1, I have done what I think closes the loop...Based on the conversations here on the list I have made the following changes to the vc6 project files : - consistent runtime linking. They are ALL now using the Multithreaded static runtime. Hopefully this makes the generated DLLs the most portable. -

icecast2 password bug?
Hello people, I'm trying the Icecast2 for win32 (release 02-26-2003). Currently my (mp3/ogg) source data for the server is a winamp running the oddcast plugin. I can't connect to icecast2 server using odd_cast plugin. Actually it connects ok, but just after winamp start to play, it is disconnected from server. The server log say: attempted to login with invalid or missing password

mount points and sourcing from winamp
Hi: I know it's possible to listen to a stream mounted on a mountpoint using winamp. I'd like to know if it's possible to make the shoutcast DSP plugin source a stream on a mountpoint? If so, how do you do it? Does the version matter? If you can't, will plugins like oddcast do it? Geoff. --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage:
