for a beginner - good rspec examples?
I''m learning to use rspec and I want to see some good examples.
Any recommendations of open source projects that demonstrate the use
of rspec?
So far I''ve found:
1) the Caboose sample app (http://sample.caboo.se/)
2) the Altered Beast forums app (http://beast.caboo.se/forums/1/topics/4650
)
Any others come to mind?
I''m especially interested in seeing

Flash stream support
Sorry if you received already this email, but I didn't, so I'm trying
again.
Hi guys, a client interested on having flash streams from a server
recommended Icecast. I never heard in the Flash community about it and
in the documentation it doesn't mention anything about it or about the
protocol flash uses (rtmp). I read that it is possible to extend it but
probably it gets a bit too

Resampling Question
I am some what of a newbie at icecast administration, however, I have
looked over many docs, and cant quite get what I can from a collective
opinion of some experience.
I am part of an net radio station, and we want to be able to have an
auto stream that can run if there isn't a live DJ. I have seen a few
tools, and wanted to get an opinion of something that can be started and
stopped

Help- Fitting a Thin Plate Spline
Hi Everyone,
I'm a pretty useless r-er but have data that SPSS etc doesn't like. I've
managed to do GLMs for my data, but now need to fit a thin plate spline for
my data (arcsine.success~date.num:clutch.size)
If anyone has a bit of spare time and could come up with a bit of code I'd
be very grateful- I just don't get R language!
Thanks
Rach

factor analysis backwards
Hello!
How can I do a factor analysis backwards to get an arbitrary covarianz
matrix out of an arbitrary number of generated random variables that
have a correlation near zero. Or the same question shorter: How to
generate random variables that have a spezial correlation pattern.
I would like to be able to do this to generate arbitrary data structures
for simulation purpose
sincerely

IE, flash and icecast
I'm having trouble getting an IE client to hear mp3 streams through a
flash player. It appears to be the same problem as described at
http://icecast.imux.net/viewtopic.php?t=2039 - the flash player connects
to the icecast server and begins downloading the audio data, but never
actually plays it.
I've tried all the suggestions from that thread - I patched icecast so
that the Content-length

Send a 30 Second Clip of an mp3
On my site I''m allowing users to upload songs in mp3 format. Members
can download the full song, but on public pages I would like to use a
flash player to play a 30 second clip of the song and/or allow
downloading of a 30 second mp3 snippet. The songs are stored above the
web root directory, and I use the send_file method for the full file
downloads for members.
My question is,

That's pretty high! Seems you're using a switch.
I just get 3,5 MB/s in both directions using 905b NIC's and a hub,
+-100kb, usually reading is slightly higher than writing.

Flash stream support
Not sure about what your client wants, but...
I can confirm that *some* flash players can handle mp3 streams
streamed by icecast or other stream engines - e.g. the XSPF Player :
http://musicplayer.sourceforge.net/ .
<xspf specific>
For this one you just give the url of your mountpoint as parameter
(song_url). It doesn't work if you pass it thru the xspf playlist.
BTW, it doesn't

Corrupted Excel files, oplock_break(905) errors
Hi there everyone!
I'm using Samba 2.0.5a-19990721 on a RedHat 6.0 machine with Linux kernel
2.2.12. My system generally works fine, however recently I've had some
complaints about some files being corrupted. The latest and best-handled
to enable a debugging happened at around the same time. Both clients were
using Windows95 OSR2 machines with Excel 97 SP-2. Two users reported the

I have pushed our implementation on GitHub:
https://github.com/speziale-ettore/OpenCRun
I have focused on desiging a modular system, because OpenCRun is
intended to be used for research purpose -- not many people, no too much
time, so clean

[LLVMdev] Building bitcode modules
Hi,
I have updated llvm to the 113aa8612010434069fc5b5e09f6b2667e03e173 git
commit. I have a small llvm project that builds a bitcode library, so I
used MODULE_NAME=foo to build foo.bc. Now, I cannot build the library,
because a compatible compiler cannot be found (Makefile.rules:1052).
I have seen that configure.ac has been modified, so:
1) there is an update in progress?
2) I have to use

[LLVMdev] Building bitcode modules
Hi,
> What compiler are you using to build with? I've made it default to clang with less looking around for llvm-gcc, so there may be an issue there. What is your configure line? What host are you trying to build on?
First I have compiled llvm/clang compiled with "gcc (Gentoo 4.5.2 p1.1,
pie-0.4.5) 4.5.2". Then I have installed llvm/clang. They are in the
path:
$ clang
