A thought on the logging...

THe reason I had to ask is that I thought this looked off. Here are a
couple entries in the log:

Mono encoding w/ a stereo source.
Crew,
I've run into something a little odd with the vorbis encoder and would
like some input.
I use SpacialAudio's SAM3 Broadcaster and am having problems with the
ogg encoder when I create a mono output stream. It seems as if the
signal level of the left and right sides are being combined before the
encoding process, leaving the sound muddy and overdriven. As such, if I

Cisco 7920 Image
Does anyone know if there is a Smartnet contract or whatnot available from
Cisco for access to the latest 7920 images?
I've got one w/ asterisk that is exhibiting a few of the documented bugs
running 1.0.3 (1.0.7 is the latest IIRC).
Thanks!

Regardless of the xsl files.
Can't we communicate with the icecast server directly to retrieve the
information ??

Unstable printing w/3.2.0
I've upgraded my print server to CentOS5 w/Samba 3.2.0. While it
"works" we are experiencing numerous irritating issues. I'm curious if
anyone else is experencing these issues.
1.) Print jobs do not clear out of the CIFS queue. So we now have
printers that show they have over 1,000 jobs in the queue although the
queue is empty. This is a bug scheduled to be fixed in 3.2.1

from ISC: Exim/Dovecot exploit making the rounds
One of our readers wrote in to let us know that he had received an attempted
Exim/Dovecot exploit attempt against his email server. The exploit partially
looked like this:
From:

(Obviously edited for your safety, and I didn't post the whole thing.)

S4 AD Domain Up; but no DNS auto-registration
samba-4.0.0 x86_64, CentOS6.3
My Samba4 / AD is up and running after migrating this weekend. Testing
looked good and the domain *is working* but there are some issues.
Automatic DNS update is not working. Workstations seem to be
registering their names but joining a server to the domain works but
fails with a error - and the DNS record is *not* added.

Grouped AND stacked bar charts possible in R?
Good day all,
My statisticians want an R procedure that will produce grouped stacked
barplots. Barplot will
stack or group, but not both. The ftable function can produce a table
of the exact form they want, but the barplot doesn't show all the
divisions we want.
For an example, here's the sample from the help file for "ftable:"
data(Titanic)
ftable(Titanic, row.vars = 1:3)

To all of the group
I am pretty much a newbie at CentOS, and Linux on client side,
I would like to help out occasionally by helping the web development crew in
their endeavors and by sorting out some stuff.
such as repairing broken links, or just scanning for content and maybe even
doing a little bit of consulting.

I received this piece of code in a patch that turns on the FreeBSD http filtering. I completely missed that it calls /sbin/sysctl directly which means I''m slipping on my auditing.

FatWreck.com - New Rails Site
After months of design and development, we''ve launched our second Rails
site, http://www.fatwreck.com (assuming your DNS is updated - the pink site
is the old one).
The site is for legendary punk rock record label, Fat Wreck Chords and it
includes a store.
The old site was highly trafficked, with millions of page views per month
and we expect this one to be also. So far, the server

Backuppc-updates on CentOS
Hi all,
I installed BackupPC on one of my Centos 5.4-machines following the wiki at
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/BackupPC#head-725ed151d366bcf182cea92f765c373900cfc9dc,
where BackupPC is installed from the c5-testing repo.

Seeing how there's been some updates to BackupPC in the near past, I

Q: Client connection time limits.
I have a working patch to the icecast 2.0.0 source which implements
time limits in the form of a <client-time-limit> element in the server
conf file.
The time limit is set in seconds, with 0 seconds meaning there is no
time limit, and is also the default, obviously.
This is a global config directive, ie it effects all clients connected
to all mount points. Should I also add a

likely to dig up our conduit which houses some data fiber and one pair
of fiber used to tie a Definity 3gsi at a small office building to the
rest of the phone system (school district). We're using a pair of

Solaris privsep and compression.

on 2.5.1/2.6 it says:

This platform does not support both privilege separation and compression
