Installing Ices on OSX 10.4.2
Hello,
I have been unable to install Ices2 on the latest version of Tiger. I
have tried two methods: one using DarwinPorts to install, and the other
grabbing the source and building it myself. Both seem to exit
compilation with the same or similar errors that I don't understand. I
am not a C hacker, so I won't be able to solve this myself. All the
supporting libs installed just fine

FW: streaming mp3 files
I think your last approach should work (the m3u file), except you specified
port 8002 instead of 8000... which would cause the behavior you're getting,
winamp opens but does not play the song.

live streaming on the web using a link
I have upgraded my streaming servers, I have a Solaris 9 server with
darkice-0.15 and Solaris 9 server with icecast-2.2.0. Now the index.html
code will not work with the new versions of darkice and icecast2. I did
found an email that said I needed to use http://url of site. tld/icecast
mount point.m3u. So in darkice I found "mount point of this stream on
the IceCast2 server" which

In icecast-1.3.12 the conf file has Static file directory. I'm upgrading
to icecast-2.2.0, can you set the static file directory in icecast 2.2.0

help with icecast2 & ices2
Hi
I'm trying to setup a new streaming server for us. We are a radio
station which we stream live and have archive files (mp3). We currently
are using icecast-1.3.12 on solaris9 and darkice-0.13.1 also on
solaris9. I have setup two new servers using icecast-2.2.0 on solaris9
and ices-2.0.1 on solaris9. I'm not sure if I have setup the conf files
correct (see attached files) but I am

upgrade to 2.2.0
To All
I am new to icecast and have taken of the server that runs icecast. I
have a few questions
I'm trying to upgrade from 1.3.12 to 2.2.0.
Is there any docs on upgrading? What steps need to be taken?
Will icecast 2.2.0 work with darkice 0.13.1?
I also have a web page on my server "Welcome to the Icecast Web Admin

libshout2 compiling problems under FreeBSD?
Hi,
I couldn't find anything about this subject from archive - are there known
problems with compiling libshout2 under FreeBSD 5.1 or 4.8 (both are up to
date). I downloaded libshout2 latest nightly snapshot and tried to compile
it on 5.0 and then later on 4.8. Both failed (problems were mostly around
sock.c, sock.h, resolver.c - redeclaring and syntax errors). Thinking that
it might be a

timing_sleep malfunctioning under MinGW
Hi,
I have successfully gotten the libshout-2.0 release to compile under
gcc/MingGW ('gcc -mno-cygwin', version 'gcc (GCC) 3.3.1 (cygming
special)'), after applying Leigh Smith's patches as posted on this list
(http://www.xiph.org/archives/icecast-dev/0660.html). I have then
generated a dll and wrapped it in JNI using the stubs from libshout-java

Updating flac include problems
Lateral to Matt,
Matt, can you refresh my memory... I vaguely remember you
mentioning that my OUR_CFLAGS_HEAD/OUR_CFLAGS_TAIL change
to configure.in messed up debianization because it put
local includes at the head... am I remembering right? Is
there a way to resolve that problem *and* Ben's?

speex on arm
Hi All,
I'm trying to build speex for the mini2440 board, with this toolchain: http://www.friendlyarm.net/dl.php?file=arm-linux-gcc-4.3.2.tgz
because speex is a dependency of the sip softphone 'linphone'.
The 'configure' string I'm using is this:
./configure --prefix=/usr --host=arm-linux --with-gnu-ld --disable-static --enable-fixed-point --enable-arm-asm

Cross-compiling with Cirrus Logic MaverickCrunch support
Hi Jean-Marc,
I have the following problem when cross-building speex 1.1.7 with
MaverickCrunch support. To add this support I had to define CPPFLAGS as
follows:
export CPPFLAGS='-mcpu=ep9312 -mfix-crunch-d1'
but it seems libtool does not like it, while the object files are
compiled fine:
