If it's Ogg Vorbis, it should be able to cope. Now it is! It had a different samplerate. Intro file will not pre-pend stream
HI! So I’ve been at this for a few days with no luck. I am trying to pre-pend my stream with an intro file (mp3). I’ve saved the mp3 file (for the intro) the same as the stream > in my test right now it is set up stereo, 112kbps, 44100hz. I can play the file independently in a browser from the webfoot location. I can play the stream with no problems. I have modified my icecast.xml to include

Metadata Swapping: How do they do it?
Think I answered my own question really. The display in iTunes, for example, is swapping between what in status.xsl would be Stream Title and Current Song. If Song is updated like so: http://admin:password@myserver.pulverradio.com:8000/admin/metadata? mount=/high.mp3&mode=updinfo&song=ACDC+Back%20In%20Black ...then what exactly is the verbage to update StreamTitle?

IceCast 2.2 MP3 stream and Real Player noise
I tested it this morning and here are my findings: 1) The Intro tag causes Real Player to give an error that the stream "contains unexpected data and may be corrupt". It does not play with the Intro tag in the mount point. If I remove the Intro tag the stream plays, and, the Real Player noise caused by meta-data is gone and the meta-data updates work. 2) The Intro plays in iTunes and

intro doesn't work
Hi folks, I've an icecast 2.3.1 server to broadcast one ogg/vorbis stream. I wanted to set it up to play an intro.ogg "spot" for every new listeners, but doesn't work. It is almost sure I misconfigured something, but don't know what. As I tried at first to put the intro.ogg into "/" dir of the server, but found an info at a website, the intro.ogg

<intro> stream stopt after intro
Hi Guys, I'm using the icecast-2.1-kh5 for the intro feature. The intro works, but after the intro it stops. It does not go on with the stream. When I comment the intro part, the stream works perfectly. Does anybody know what I can do to solve this problem? -- Met vriendelijke groeten, Jesper Weiland Exonet Internet Services Koopmanslaan 3 7005 BK Doetinchem E: Jesper@exonet.nl T:

RE: Two questions
I am happy using icecast/ices, but have two questions: 1. If I was using cron to schedule a switching of a playlist, can I do this without restarting icecast so that at a SPECIFIC TIME (let's say at exactly 3:00 pm) a new song can be played without interupting the user listening to the broadcast. 2. Is there a setting when the user first connects to play a *welcome* file (i.e. about the

Having an intro play for a fallback stream
Hello again evveryone. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to force Icecast to play the intro of a fallback stream? For example, if a live stream is active, then disconnects, people are routed back to a fallback stream, but it doesn't play the introduction I have set for that stream. It only plays if someone starts to listen and they start with the fallback stream. Thanks

install other OS to unprivileged domain
Dear all, I have set up one unprivileged Domain-1 with help of FedoraQuickStart and some help from you. Now I want to install some other OS to Domain-2. How can I install a different OS (say Redhat 7.3) onto a unprivileged domain? Do I have to copy all files from an existed installation to an image file? Intro & Chrome v. 65.0.33.25.181
Hi there, I ran to dead end when Google released a new version for Chrome. I have tried to search with google and I haven’t found anything. There seems to be a problem when a stream has an intro element. It only plays the the intro and does not allow the stream to be played. http://185.139.186.34:8000/yleisohjelma And if there is no intro then it will play like:

Add an intro to a theora file without re-encoding?
Hello, I would like to add a introduction video (typically a title with fade-in / fade-out) at the beginning of an Ogg/Theora video. I generated this intro video in Ogg/Theora from a sequence of png files. I would need to do this in an automatic script, because I have many such videos to process, and without doing any re-encoding step (which would be very costly because my videos are huge). I
