I believe that Oddsock is using a Content Type of aacp. Using a .aac extension with this Content Type may present a conflict. This might actually be by design. Can anyone explain what the fundamental difference between the Burst-on-Connect mode that Icecast2 uses versus SHOUTcast? There is a thread starting on the VLC Player list that is stating that the problems that VLC has playing Icecast2 Burst-on-Connect (default) streams is the fault of Icecast2. From a technical standpoint, we could make this happen, however : 1. the Shoutcast listing protocol is completely different from the Icecast one, and so we'd have to code it and maintain it. 2. (more importantly) Shoutcast has, in the past, banned all non-shoutcast stations (and yes, even specifically icecast stations) from their directory. They've explicitly stated they don't
