AW: Complete list about possible options for the config file???
Hey Joern,
the Problem is that I installed an Debian package and how can I find out
which version was included?
But I guess it is the standart version and I will have a look at the C code
but it's been a while...
But thanks anyway

cvs problem...
hello everyone!
i have a problem checking out the icecast cvs. the checkout stalls after
pulling timing/timing.h (no matter which module, they all seem to depend
on it). i have to kill it after a while.
am i doing anything wrong, or is your cvs botched ?
for now, i'm using a nightly snapshot, but i can't find ices2 in it, so
i tried to pull cvs. btw, the chroot feature is cool. i

definitely open source, and a recommendation, since it does not *beep*
with the registry too much, has a clean, no bullshit interface, supports
a large number of codecs and is one of

Params and handling
From reading through the code, I can understand that the parameters are
read from the XML config file and stored in the void pointer "data", but
if I am writing a new playlist module that needs additional parameters,
how would I go about handling adding this to the code? I have a MySQL
playlist module written, but I cannot seem to integrate the parameters
such that the admin would

Unable to compile icecast 2.2.0 under Suse 9.2
Thanks for the advice!
After I have managed to install all needed libs under Suse 9.2 everything
works just fine.
But now I have a new problem.
I need to install icecast2 under Debian 3 and the Debian package Server
seems to be down constant.
Where can I get the icecast2 install package for Debian besides from the
Debian Server?
Can anyone name me a location on the web?

*Real* real time streaming (no delay/latency)?
Hello
Does anyone have experience with _real_ real time streaming - i.e. with
very little delay/latency?
I need to stream from point A to point B in near-CD quality via a 100
Mbit network. That is easily done using icecast. But here is the tricky bit:
I want as little delay in the signal as possibble - preferrably below 50ms!
I have made a test setup encoding on and serving from an 800 MHz

dovecot upgrade problems
Hi list,
i made an upgrade from dovecot 1.0RC15 to 1.1.20
the default installation was under /etc/dovecot.
The upgrade installation was made under /usr/local/etc.
After that i changed all the paths in the /usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf
and the dovecot-binary to work with the new installation.
Even path-changes were made for /etc/init.d/dovecot to work with the
version 1.1.20.

MRTG with 14all.cgi on centos 5
Hi,
I have setup MRTG with 14all.cgi cgi script.
I downloaded it from below URL.
http://my14all.sourceforge.net/14all-1.1.txt
and did only below 3 changes to that file. those can be seen in BOLDletters.
# if MRTG_lib.pm (from mrtg) is not in the module search path (@INC)
# uncomment the following line and change the path appropriatly:
#use lib qw(/usr/local/mrtg-2/lib/mrtg2);

debian package from svn / errors and non working debian rules
Hello,
I tried to build an debian package from svn. First I checked out trunk
and the 2.3.2 branch, which both build this quite "old" package :-)
icecast2_1.9+2.0alphasnap2+20030802-1_amd64.deb
Then I tried the kh branch, which doesn't build with dpkg-buildpackage:
debian/rules:6: debian/cdbs/1/rules/buildinfo.mk: No such file or directory

[PATCH] icecast video preview
Hi. Here it is my patch to put a video preview of a theora stream in
status.xsl.
I just added a:
<video-preview>1</video-preview>
parameters in icecast.xml.in that control the previewing function.
It encodes a png in $webroot/$mountname.tmp and then move it to
$webroot/$mountname.png
As for now it saves a frame every theora keyframe, which is probably
too heavy for the server but

exposed-port option for Icecast behind reverse proxy
Hello,
I didn't want to have to choose between Icecast running on port 80 and all
my Apache virtual hosts, running also on port 80, on my sole external IP
address.
I didn't want either to open port 8000 on my firewall because I wanted all
users being able to reach Icecast even the ones behind enterprise firewalls.
So I managed to run Apache 2.2 listening on port 80 and Icecast 2.3.2

the logfile looks good, i think

-- SIP/192.168.100.150:5060 is ringing

Xen 4.1.2 PVHVM guest with Linux 3.1.0 network problem, empty MAC address (all zeroes)
Hello,
While testing Fedora 16 Xen PVHVM guests I noticed the following problem:
When starting F16 PVHVM guest I can see the vifX.0 and tapX.0 interfaces appear on dom0,
but after the guest kernel (Linux 3.1.0) starts and loads PVHVM drivers the
vif/tap interfaces disappear from dom0..
so the bridge in dom0 doesn''t have any vifs/taps connected to it anymore.
Has anyone seen that

limit-rate
Hi,
Where is the mount option 'limit-rate' in the current version?
I checked in cfgfile.c and in the documentation, no mention.
Yet this option did exist at one time:
http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/icecast/2010-October/011703.html
http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/icecast/2009-January/011391.html
I try to limit the bitrate of a mount-point, is there another solution?
Do you know why this
