shoutcast to icecast2 issues
relaying a shoutcast stream via icecast2 is pretty much unlistenable -- it constantly stutters. for example, shoutcast relay -- http://205.188.234.1:8030/listen.pls icecast2 relay -- http://liveradio.indymedia.org:8001/sf-hifi.mp3.m3u --mark --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a

relay icecast to shoutcast
thanks geoff - Yes, I had disabled the <alias source="/" dest="/status.xsl"/> in the config. To answer your question: If the mountpoint is set to "radio.mp3" and the host tag is set for a local broadcast. ie.: <hostname>localhost</hostname> (for testing purposes), this is what happens when I enter "http://localhost:7000/" into a browser:

shoutcast to icecast2 issues
btw i just noticed that the icecast2 relay sounds fine in whamb (mac os x mp3/ogg client). so it does seem that some clients don't have the problem. here's the relay configs we're using: <relay> <server>server.to.be.relayed</server> <port>8000</port> <mount>/</mount>

AACPlus Shoutcast v1.90
I should have provided a link to my low bitrate vorbis stream. It's a mostly easy listening world music format: http://soulfm.stationplaylist.com/listen.m3u Regards, Ross.

AACPlus Shoutcast v1.90
OK, I've organized this. It's not possible to average 32kb/s stereo with Vorbis using VBR. Quality -2 stereo proeduces roughly 32 to 38kb/s which is too high for many modems. I would have to use ABR, but last I tried that, it utilized too much CPU for my 950Mhz PC, and oddcast doesn't appear to support that option anymore. I've tried AACPlus 32kb/s mono and there is very

mp3-streaming client for icecast2
Hi! I'm looking for a streaming client for the icecast2-server. It should just feed mp3-files from a playlist to the icecast2-server. The old shout doesn't work: hout -P a -e 8000 -x -p /big/m3u/list.m3u => [3:21] Size: 3231748 Bitrate: 128000 (41432 bytes/dot) [Server error: [HTTP/1.0 401 Authentication Required ] WWW-Authenticate: Basic realm="Icecast2 Server"

MP3 streaming from icecast2 -> WMP
Anyone conceive of any reason why I should have a stream that RealPlayer and iTunes have no problem with, but MP9 refuses to play: just sits there dumbly having loaded the .m3u that points to it, ignoring the play button?

Troubles setting up Shoutcast relay
Hi ! Well what I basically want to do is set up a local relay in our company for some popular shoutcast radio streams available on the winamp.com main site. Right now like 10 or 20 ppl here are listening to basically the same two or three streams, so thats quite a waste of bandwith. So I thought there must be some kind of stream relay that would connect as client to the Shoutcast server and be a

Static files with Icecast2
Hello, With Icecast1 existed the functionality to have the server feed static content from disk. It generated a playlist file for the one file passed to it, and off things went. I googled around a bit and found people saying it was possible to do this with icecast2, but the one outside link I found was now invalid. Are there any pointers about how to add static content? Does it work

m3u - mine type
Hi icecast, I'm having a "bizarre" problem with the m3u extension. I read somewhere to add ".m3u" in a link on a web page to make winamp load and play the stream. It works very fine, but ONLY in my LAN. When I call http://192.168.1.2:8002/status.xsl, i got the "click here to listen" which is link to the moint point + .m3u (/MyStream.ogg.m3u) I click, winamp load
