Problem with Cacti and CentOS 4.4
I just for the first time attempted to install Cacti from the RPMForge repo on CentOS 4.4. And I have to say that it hasn't gone very well at all. I have installed Cacti on Fedora a good 20 times with absolutely no problem. Basically the default rrds/graphs for localhost are generated but no other rrds/graphs are generated. When I look at the poller cache or snmp cache I see all the data.

cacti on centos
Hi all, I'm trying to get Cacti installed on my CentOS 4.3 x86_64 box. I've got all of required packages installed, and created database file, and followed all the instructions in install manual. However, when I get login screen and use admin for username/password, it simply redirects me straight back to login screen. Looking at user_log table, the authentication was

Perl-related problem on rrdtool?
On CentOS 4.5, I have Cacti and Nagios installed. I'm trying to "glue" them together with a program called n2rdd but am having a problem that I wondering is Perl-related. When I run "tail /var/log/nagios/rra/n2rrd.log", I see lots of this sort of thing: server01: Missing template for "server01" service "check_ping"

yum priorities and obsoleting...
Hey, I ran into a yum conflict regarding an repoforge extra package obsoleting a base package. The thing is that I set a lower priority to repoforge extra... Any idea how come I ran into this issue...? The question is more about the yum priorities than repoforge. ... 1743 packages excluded due to repository priority protections ... --> Running transaction check ---> Package

can't install rrdtool, problems with dependancies
Hi all, I have tried to install rrdtool manually, but have noticed that I need perl-rrdtool as well for it to work, and I have approached this the wrong way. So, instead of installing rpmforge first, I have downloaded the rrdtool from sourceforge and installed it the old-fashioned way, totally forgot about rpmforge. So, now I want to remove it, and install it via rpmforge in order to get

Cacti - Monitor Ferret Server Stats?
I''m wondering if someone can point me in a direction to monitor the ferret drb server while using cacti. Is it possible to run multiple instances of ferret drb on the same machine, just on different ports? Will it still update the index properly, or will you get collision? New to moving over to the drb server. Thanks. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Spooky networking issue: ping OK on container, stops on VM, restarts with arp -d
I am managing two Xen containers which are exhibiting a spooky behavior. There are intermittent network failures that affect only the VM''s, and not dom0. This exhibits itself as problems with nfs locks, snmp, and even icmp ping. The arp tables look normal on both the dom0 and the guest. However, it is definitely arp related. Causing arp traffic of any sort results the problem curing

Hi guys , Im have some problems installing the following packages: rrdtool-devel rrdtool-perl Before we moved to centos/rhel7 it was a simple task, just doing: yum install rrdtool rrdtool-devel and rrdtool-perl was enough. Now, I only can install the rrdtool package but not rrdtool-devel and rrdtool-perl. I tryed adding some repos, but I think I added wrong ones. Also tryed downloading and

Dovecot 1.x on AIX -> Dovecot 2.x on Ubuntu
We are working on migrating Dovecot 1.2.17 running on AIX 5.3 (believe it or not!) to Dovecot 2.0.13 running on Ubuntu. We have hundreds of users mboxes we will be migrating. My question is regarding the index files. Should we remove those after the migration, but before we open it up to users so Dovecot can create new ones? I did a test migration of a single user, and Dovecot detects the
