m3u problems
Hi everyone, I am using icecast 2.0.2 using the webroot (no mount point) to serve all the ogg files within the folder that is the webroot. According to the documentation I should be able to take the audio (test.org) file name and add a .m3u extension, and icecast should automatically generate a m3u file in response. However at the moment it serves the test.org file as the m3u file. This

random playing order and forum location question
1. where can I find the web-based forum? I'd like to search the solution, because I was able to setup Shoutcast2 for streaming only one mp3 file, but nothing else at all. (I did read the faq, the help 2 times, the logs, I even checked the Tcp/ip traffic of the port of 8000... not found the solution). I haven't downloaded the source code, because I was too sleepy. (and angry :-( ) 2.

[PATCH 04/18] alpha: Override READ_ONCE() with barriered implementation
Rather then relying on the core code to use smp_read_barrier_depends() as part of the READ_ONCE() definition, instead override __READ_ONCE() in the Alpha code so that it is treated the same way as smp_load_acquire(). Linking Mount Problem
"Well, you'd have to link to a .m3u file that pointed to that mountpoint, but yes that all looks good." what would that mean? http://ip:port/first.m3u ? or something else ----- Original Message ----- From: Geoff Shang To: icecast@xiph.org Sent: Tue, 29 Mar 2005 02:26:43 +1000 Subject: Re: [Icecast] Linking Mount Problem convinceme@atrocions.com wrote: > <mount> >

Client Woes
My problem is not with the Icecast server, but with my user's ability to get a decent client to play the streams. I have 3 Icecast streams created using Ices, and the mountpoints have the mp3 extension. My users and I have observed: 1) If Quick Time is brought up by the browser, it skips and chokes on the stream. 2) If Windows Media is brought up by the browser, it will do either of two

listener authentication for multiple mountpoints; client connections seems high
Two quick questions: 1. Is it ok to use the same password file for multiple mountpoints, or will that cause problems? 2. Why would my clients number 113 larger than my number of listeners? It was right earlier today, but when I restarted the sources it increased by 113, and it has stayed that high since then. I find it especially odd since I have clients set to 100 in icecast.xml, and

[RFC] [PATCH] Split host arch headers for UML's benefit
The patch below fixes the recent UML compilation failure in -rc5-mm1 without making the UML build reach further into the i386 headers. It splits the i386 ptrace.h and system.h into UML-usable and UML-unusable pieces. The string "abi" is in there because I did ptrace.h first, and that involves separating the ptrace ABI stuff from everything else (if pt_regs is not considered part of

disconnected mount point listed in the status page
Hi! This days I switched from icecast 2.3.2 to the latest icecast kh from the github (build 30-gfe06a77). But the problem I'm speaking about didn't solve. After a source disconnects the mount point remains listed in the status page with only these entries: Mount Point /stream M3U <http://ortodoxradio.ro:8000/stream.m3u>XSPF

listener authentication
Thomas and Phillip, Thanks so much for your help. I have it working now but, is there a way to setup that when the user clicks on the m3u to play that it would open a player in the web page instead of creating the m3u file then having to open it in windows media player as some of the time WMP wont play the file. Thanks, Ron On Wed, Feb 18, 2015 at 2:30 AM, "Thomas B. R?cker"

It is my understanding that you have the highest bitrate stored and you just want to re-encode the files on the fly over a stream. You do this rather than just store all the different enc rates. Correct my assumption, but can't ices create playlists from perl scripts?

recursively divide a value to get a sequence
Hi, if given the value of, say, 15000, I would like to be able to divide that value recursively by, say, 5, and to get a vector of a determined length, say 9, the last value being (set to) zero- i.e. like this: 15000 3000 600 120 24 4.8 0.96 0.192 0 These are in fact concentration values from an experiment. For my script, I get only the starting value (here 15000), and the factor by which
