Another person cannot hear my radio
That IP looks self-assigned ... he is probably not even on a network with that machine. -Ian. Another person cannot hear my radio (yet)
Hi, First of all, thank you Jason, Geoff and Ian. There?s an Icecast 2.2.0 server in my Windows XP, with Oddcast working with Winamp 2.95. I?m able to open something like http://201.1.33.#:8000/live.m3u (my radio?s address; IP?s dynamic) in my own machine. However, this URL cannot be open by another machines. Message in those browsers is "URL not found". This happens even while

Hello, Link http://201.1.83.111:8000/live.m3u is currently taking to my radio. I did all things that must be done, and all things you already suggested as well. However, it does not working for external people yet... Would you please help me? Thanks a lot, Denis.

Hi, I am a beginner in Icecast, and I?d thank you if I had a little help from you guys. I?m already able to send audio data from WinAmp (2.95) with Oddcast (Dec 14, 2004) to Icecast (2.2.0). No problems up to here. However, when I go to URL in order to hear it, Windows Media Player (9 series) buffers and plays only a few seconds of audio. I am in Windows XP (Service Pack 2). Do you know what

Geoff: > So what DSP plugin are you using? Oddcast? SAM? Shoutcast DSP? Something > else? Oddcast DSP v3 > Is your plugin actually connnecting to Icecast? Yes, Oddcast tells me it's broadcasting test.m3u at ~32kb (I set it this slow) and Icecast sees this connection. It also sees when others connect, but all attempts result in Error 404 > When your friends try to connnect,

Windows Xp / Icecast 2.3.1 / Oddcast 3 / Crap Router?
Ok here's the deal. I set up Icecast and Oddcast, got them to communicate properly, but cannot access the live audio remotely. On other computers in the LAN it works perfetly. Currently I operate wirelessly behind a D-Link 514 router (a mite outdated by now, yes?) and have opened all necessary ports, turned my firewalls off, set this computer as a DMZ, pretty much everything I can think of -

AACPlus Shoutcast v1.90
OK, I've organized this. It's not possible to average 32kb/s stereo with Vorbis using VBR. Quality -2 stereo proeduces roughly 32 to 38kb/s which is too high for many modems. I would have to use ABR, but last I tried that, it utilized too much CPU for my 950Mhz PC, and oddcast doesn't appear to support that option anymore. I've tried AACPlus 32kb/s mono and there is very

I mentioned this 1 or 2 years back but it's still not fixed. I presume it's a Icecast2 server problem. I'm using the latest Oddcast client, and my server host Mediacast1 has just updated to the latest Icecast2. I'm currently streaming a track in Vorbis format called: M?ire Brennan - I L?thair D? It shows this correctly in Winamp on the broadcast PC. On the Icecast Status page,

disconnected mount point listed in the status page
Hi! This days I switched from icecast 2.3.2 to the latest icecast kh from the github (build 30-gfe06a77). But the problem I'm speaking about didn't solve. After a source disconnects the mount point remains listed in the status page with only these entries: Mount Point /stream M3U <http://ortodoxradio.ro:8000/stream.m3u>XSPF

Newbie Icecast question
I've installed Icecast2 on RedHat 9 and am able to use WinAmp and Oddcast on a Win2000 PC to source audio to the Icecast2 server. This has helped me understand how to stream a live feed to Icecast2, which is incredibly easy and useful. My question is regarding pre-recorded audio files. If I have a series of archived live performances (let's say they were archived to MP3 files), how
