Asterisk / Trixbox 2.6 Streaming MOH Problems
I've tried a number of solutions, but I've been unable to get Asterisk working with streaming MOH without running into the "buffer" issue. I've tried using various combinations madplay, mpg123, mpg321. I've also tried streamplayer by itself, and in combination with play-fifo ( http://www.freeswitch.org/asterisk_stuff/play-fifo.c ) to try and eliminate the issue. For

a dedicated audio encoder
Hi! I've just set up Raspberry Pi with external USB soundcard and the Darkice encoder. Seems to be working just fine (25% CPU utilization). Check this for a writeup on that: https://stmllr.net/blog/live-streaming-mp3-audio-with-darkice-and-icecast2-on-raspberry-pi/ - Marius On 01/22/2015 01:43 PM, Maarten S wrote: > Hi, > > In our design of Icecast2, our multiple sources will

mp3 queue problem
Hi! I'm using Icecast to stream ogg and mp3 audio streams. Usually i cast 4-5 ogg streams at time but yesterday i added 3 mp3 streams to my server. After several hours the mp3 (and only mp3) ones stop to work with no apparent reason. The only strange thing i could observe is that the recv-Q showed in netstat is full of data that can't be handled by icecast and the quantity of data

a dedicated audio encoder
Hi, In our design of Icecast2, our multiple sources will stream their high quality audio via a dedicated audio encoder (not a computer): Live audio > L+R microphone > pre amplifier > audio encoder > Icecast2 VPS So far I have a shortlist of 4 possible brands of audio encoders: Sonifex PS-SEND, Barix Instreamer, Bric-Link, Outcaster OC100. All have their pro's and cons.

a dedicated audio encoder
Hi Thomas, As per your question "Out of curiosity do any of those support anything else than MP3?" - - > answer is yes. See attached link an overview of 6 hardware audio encoders (Link to pmg file via WeTransfer http://we.tl/w0H6HJsxLd ). All offer various output formats, not all matching ICECAST input requirements. Not all offer an authentication on mount level. Price

Introduction + Patch
Hi, I'm new here so an introduction. I'm Stefan de Konink, I have a diverse past, present and future in coding, content creation and a background in speech research. As introduced on #celt I want to do some promotion for the codec. I was positively surprised by the availability of something 'almost done' and totally usable in the form of celtclient.c, attached is a tiny

C7 and default sound
When I right click on desktop and bring up "sound". I have two items. Digital output (S/PDIF) buildin audio HDMI/Displayport 2 - Gk208 HDMI audio controller It seems I always default to S/PDIF.... How can I get this to default to HDMI always ? If I select HDMI and reboot it goes back to S/PDIF. I am running pulse audio. Thanks, Jerry

AES/EBU Feed
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to take an AES/EBU digital feed and turn it into an icecast protocol stream for sending to an icecast server? In particular hardware and software suggestions would be helpful, for either unix or windows. Thanks for any advice anyone can give.

R128gain & metaflac
As far as I know, R128 as ReplayGain isn't really considered final yet (see http://wiki.hydrogenaud.io/index.php?title=ReplayGain_2.0_specification for example), so it would probably be a bit early to update this in the FLAC source. op 16-06-14 10:15, Olav Sunde schreef: > I mention metaflac because there are a few shell scripts that > use it to write RG tags in a flac music

R128gain & metaflac
I mention metaflac because there are a few shell scripts that use it to write RG tags in a flac music library on Linux. With support for Ebu R128 gain in metaflac (the calculation according to specification, not an external program) it would be easy to use, just change the cmd line for metaflac in the script. Now that metaflac supports sample rates higher than 48kHz this would be a good thing in

Hardware-based Icecast source client
Yes the barix extreamers work fine with icecast. I used to use them as studio to transmitter links for a radio station. Metadata: populating StreamUrl
Howdy Folks: Is there a way in v2.4.2 to include a ?StreamUrl=? field in the stream metadata as well as ?StreamTitle=?? It appears that the administrative interface only populates StreamTitle. For example: http://server.example.com:8000/admin/metadata?mount=MyMount&mode=updinfo&song=MySong will insert only ?StreamTitle=MySong?;. Googling around has brought up some possible
