Fw: Problem with Icecast as Windows-services
Hallo Leo, Thanks for answering my question. The source client is not on the same machine. We have found the solution: it was the Windows Firewall setting on the Windows 2003 machine. When we login again, we see icecast is in

Aliassing Icecast 2.1 Admin console
Hello, We are searching for a possibility of "aliassing without wasting bandwidth". It is described in the following section which we found at http://open4all.info/ossa/_Icecast_Streaming_Server. # What happens is that when a listeners connects to your server and # requests the /laika stream, then your icecast server will connect # as a client to my machine, and then feed my stream to

Icecast streaming https
Hi These instructions are very useful, as previously shared: - https://serverok.in/centovacast-enable-ssl-on-icecast However, I think this step caused me problems using Letsencrypt (LE) and the icecast.pem file might have been in error: Paste your SSL in following order 1) Your private key 2) Your SSL cert 3) CA Bundle I don't think LE creates a 'CA Bundle'. Following some

icecast on-demand streaming iPhone
We are using icecast for live and on-demand streaming of recorded live sessions. The problem occurs with the on-demand streaming on IPhone's: the recording starts playing and after 5 - 7 minutes it starts over again from the beginning. We think it might be caused in the handling of partial content. The icecast log shows at the first connection a "206 Partial Content" answer, but a

As others have said, 16kbps should do the trick. Keep in mind though that the quality of the sound will also depend on the sampling rate. MP3 will handle some higher sampling rates higher than some of

Icecast-dev Digest, Vol 154, Issue 2
I am struggling to get icecast running with https, but I cannot get it working My environment is: Debian 10 (Buster) Question 1: I tried the standard debian icecast2 package but there is no SSL capability at all. Samba - LDAP - User cannot login from 1 workstation
Hello, everyone, This is the situation : We have 2 sites; one domain; 2 samba's on every site; one is PDC, the other is BDC. They both use LDAP; the LDAP has a master on the site where the PDC is; the slave LDAP is on the site where the BDC is. There is a user (ONE to be precise) that gives problems when working on a specific machine. When the user logs in using his machine; he

Depending on what you are broadcasting, for 28.8 I would go 16kbps and be really safe... Having problems connecting
One of the nodes is running without a firewall. The other is on a public Azure server and can't run without firewall. It is running without firewall on its own (10.23.23.1) network card. How could the firewall do this when it starts running after some time without changing anything to the firewall? Having problems connecting
Parke, Thank you for your suggestion, but I am already using those subnet settings. And how could they be wrong if the two peers start communicating at some point without changing the settings? Problem adding user to Administrator list
Hi, all, We are using Samba 3.0.10 with an LDAP backend. It's been working fine for a long time. One strange thing that has come up today : I cannot add 1 specific domain user to the local Administrator group of Windows servers that are also in the domain. Adding the user to the admin group on a workstation works just fine. Adding other users to the admin group on the Windows servers

Using snmp for APC smarts
Hi, I'm new to nut. I have some 100 APC Smart-UPS 2200 & 3000's and I'm trying to do some calibration test on them. I've installed nut, with driver = snmp-ups mibs = apcc in ups.conf. I can read the variables using upsc. However it seems, I can't actually execute commands on the UPSses this way. ( upscmd some-ups calibrate.start ) Do I miss something, or are those

Newer GnuPG (S)RPMS?
Hi, Has anyone newer GnuPG (S)RPMs than the one coming with CentOS (gnupg-1.2.1-10). That one obviously has problems (for example: it doesn't recognize new signatures on keys when doing 'gpg --import keysfile'). I tried to build new packages from various SRPMs from the Fedora distros. The builds went oke, however, after installing them (no complaining debs) this error occurs when
