.mp3 and .ogg streamed both as .ogg
Hello.. Im a new icecast user. Im making an application, that selects from my collection of mp3s, oggs (and flacs) and let them be streamd to icecast2. This takes the input from a PostgreSQL table, wich gets modified... So far, im using ices, wich seems nice, becouse i can use the <script> type and it executes my_script to search a file, so ices takes that info (i.e.

ices: PQueue module error
Hi All-- I'm trying to get icecast working with ices, but I'm having a problem with the PQueue module. I'm including my ices.connf file and verbose output when running in non-daemon mode below. I'm running on Fedora Core 1, and have all packages updated (via yum). I'd greatly appreciate any insights. Jim <p><?xml version="1.0"?>

Reloading ices (0.2.3) playlist
Hiya I'm completely stumped on reloading the playlist... If I send ices a SIGHUP signal it appears to reload the Perl module but not execute any code. The messages I'm getting are: DEBUG: Caught SIGHUP, cycling logfiles and reloading playlist... DEBUG: Interpreting [ices_shutdown] DEBUG: perl [ices_shutdown] returned 1 values, last [1] DEBUG: Done interpreting [ices_shutdown] DEBUG:

A few questions
Hi I've got everything running OK but now have a couple of questions: I'm occasionally getting "504 server full" errors at the client and in the icecast access log. Is this caused by me exceeding the value set in the <max-listeners> section of icecast.xml for each mount point? Also, when I HUP ices it fails to properly reload the Perl module... ices catches the

That is why I asked for a protocol :) Why we have to go the extra mile of parsing the XML, that will contain plenty of info we don't need !! Anyway, thank you for the tips. Refresh Ices 0.4.?
Hello! How can I refresh ices 0.4.? If the playlist has changed, I want to load it into the ices at a definied time. I read I can do it with: kill -SIGHUP <icespid> But this don't work! :( Alternativ I can stop the ices and restart it, but at this moment, the listeners lose the source-connection and have manualy to reconnect. Is there any solution? For refreshing ices 0.4 or to hold

I don't mind using the password. Just I am asking if there is some sort of protocol to retrieve the information without playing with the xsl !! I mean, to directly retrieve the wanted information, like ME: Get MetaData Server: Celin Dion - All comes back to me. IceCast 2.2 MP3 stream and Real Player noise
Great. Wonder if Oddsock can make a new exe? Also, if using the Intro feature and Relays, I assume that I need to define the intros on the slaves, not the master? Regardless of the xsl files. Can't we communicate with the icecast server directly to retrieve the information ?? On Mon, 14 Feb 2005 12:58:56 -0500, Ian A. Statically linked ices0
Hi, I'm trying to statically link ices0, but the configure scripts isn't really agreeing with me. When I do this: ./configure --prefix=/radio/server --enable-shared=no --enable-static=yes --without-perl --without-vorbis --without-faad --without-flac I still get a dynamically linked binary (linked to a lot of stuff I specified I didn't want, but that's besides the point): ldd

ices0 config for high and low bandwidth users
Hello, Does anyone have a config for the above? I've got several static playlists of mp3's that i'd like to offer. Offering them for high bandwidth cable dsl users works fine, but i'd like to give them out to dialups as well. Currently whenever a dialup user connects the stream1 plays for about two seconds then goes sluggish. I'm theorizing that i'm giving to much for
