behind a router
first of all i realized i haven't properly understood what <bind-adress> is needed for. to "stick" the server to a particular network card? what does this exactly mean? do i need it? i tried assigning to <hostname> both the internal ip of the router 192.168.2.1 and the ip that's assigned to it by the ISP, and in either case i'm not able through xmms to

Do you have a rails.cmd or a rails.bat at C:\ruby\bin? I have a rails.bat, but not a rails.cmd! I am wondering if I accidentally deleted rails.cmd! Lighttpd1.4.10 problem on debian
Hi, I have installed lighttpd1.4.10 on my debian server. The installation goes well and rails 1.0 do recognize lighty when I run script: ruby script\server. However, after the first request to lighty, lighty returned the right page, then shut itself down:( Did anybody had similar experience? Thanks! -Tony -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Which dovecot-antispam with dovecot 2?
Hi I'm a little confused as there are two repos for the dovecot-antispam plugin. Eugene's hg repo is explicitly labeled "for Dovecot 2", but the Johannes' git repo has commits later in date: hg: http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/Antispam git: http://git.sipsolutions.net/?p=dovecot-antispam.git I guess the unrelease hg code ist the one for Dovecot 2, but what is

blf-crypt
Hi The blf-crypt password schema mentioned in the docs could be a solution to my auth problem. However, the docs state that actual support depends on the glibc. Mine apparently doesn't. Does support depend on the glibc's version (mine is 2.15-r2)? Maybe someone with access to a box with a good enough glibc could do the following and post the hash for the plain password "test"?

FOSDEM16: Graphics DevRoom: call for speakers.
Hi, At FOSDEM on sunday 31st of january 2016, there will be another graphics DevRoom. URL: https://fosdem.org/2016/ At first, I wanted to skip another year (like in 2011), as speaker turn-out was disgracefully low last year. But when i heard from some usual speaker suspects earlier this month (the first time anyone asked me about a FOSDEM16 devroom btw), followed by the fact that the devroom

html5 icecast video source client
Five years after initially posting to this list[0], I finally completed as browser-based video source client iceast. The code is here: https://gitlab.com/jamie/icecream As Romain Beauxis responded to my initial email, webrtc was unsuitable and websockets was the way to go. Thanks for the help! jamie 0. http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/icecast-dev/2013-July/002223.html -- May First/People Link

ices not quite random
Hello, I just got iceast + ices setup. I'm streaming from a playlist and it streams/play just fine, however, it doesn't seem to be that random. It is randomly picking through the first "grou" but not the rest. e.g. the playlist.txt file has full paths to the ogg files, which are in different subdirectories according to artist. But, it will only play from the first artist. Any

RE: Problems Listening in WinAmp 2.x, 5.x
I have set up icecast2 and ices2 and am playing ogg files from a playlist. I can listen to stream in Linux using XMMS and Windows using FOOBAR2000. The documentation indicates that WinAmp 2.x and 5.x will work, but need to do tricks like use mountname with ".ogg" extension. When I do that in WinAmp 2.x and 5.x tries to connect and nothing. When in Admin in icecast, and view stats to

Iceacst Statistical Relay
Hello, I am using an external streaming client, known as SAM Broadcaster, and I would like to set up a statistical relay to "get" or show the number of listeners. This does not seem to work with the information entered from my iceast details, does this server, icecast2 (2.4.3), not support statistical relay "get" info? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment

I'm quite new with R so sorry if I asked something very easy or complicated. I have a data frame with (for instance) 4 variables (4 columns) and 100 records. I would like to have a 'summary' table for each variable that shows me the following: variable 1 Freq. % % cumulative class 1 10 10% 10% class 2 20 20% 30% class 3

Sacrilege, but...
Hi all, I'm afraid that having spent yet another entire day floundering around in the world of icecast, I've really now got to the point of asking a difficult question. I set up an icecast server back in early 1999, and it seemed to work fine for months. We had a server crash here that meant I had to go and reget the sources to rebuild, and ever since then it has been nothing but

OK, am I missing something ??
Hi all, Didn't get any replies to my previous query, so I thought I'd try again. Since I last emailed out, my station has appeared on yp.icecast.org, so I really don't know what was going on there.... This time, however, I'm hot on the trail of a generally crappy output stream from icecast/streamcast/ices. It stutters; it halts on track changes; it causes the little red
