problem with config file for jack with ices2-kh-2.0.0-kh60a

AAC encoders?
Now that Icecast 2.2 supports AAC encoded streams, I'm looking around for an encoder that will take raw-audio->AAC for a live stream on a Linux platform. I glanced at the docs for Darkice and StreamTranscoder as well as some other 3rd-party apps listed on icecast.org but none seem to encode to AAC. Any suggestions? -mp

hi i have a remote machine i am running ices (kh branch) on...if i start ices with the default ices-jack.xml config i get the following: "Failed to read config file" I have tried commenting out the line that refers to alsa: <!--<param name="connect">alsa_pcm:capture_1,alsa_pcm:capture_2</param>--> but no luck...any hints on what i should be doing? adam

Icecast 2.3.3 + Debian

ices-kh dropping jack ports unexpectedly
I've been having a problem where ices-kh (the jack'ified version) disconnects from its jack input source unexpectedly. This happens mainly while other jack clients are being started/stopped, or connected/disconnected, but also at other times (e.g. switching between different X sessions). I'm planning to do a bit more work on tuning up the jack setup to see if I can get rid of the
