<intro> stream stopt after intro
Hi, > I've not tried this feature, but are you sure that your intro file and > the stream are the same exact format? If you're streaming MP3, this > is important. If it's Ogg Vorbis, it should be able to cope. Now it is! It had a different samplerate. Now it works. :-) Thanks! -- Met vriendelijke groeten, Jesper Weiland Exonet Internet Services Koopmanslaan 3 7005

Client has fallen behind
Hi Guys, I have a lot of streaming running with Icecast (Icecast 2.1-kh5) and they work fine on (for example) winamp. The fact is that we have many listeners tuning in with mp3-web-radio's on slow connections. Some of the streams connect only once in a few time. They connect and disconnect after sending 8k. The error is: [2005-03-16 11:20:07] DBUG source/send_to_listener Client has

IntroFile Feature Request for Icecast2 Server
Would it be possible to add IntroFile support (like SHOUTcast) to Icecast2, to play an intro file upon connection to a live stream without having to re-buffer between file and subsequent live stream? If this is already supported, please excuse the request, and explain the configuration. Thanks. -greg. __________________________________________________________________________ Greg J.

maximum file descriptor limit - icecast freeze
Hi! A week ago I had a blocked icecast server because of the open files. I read some posts about the 1024 fd limit but this is not the case. My stations rarely has 300 listeners. From the log I can see that around 3PM I had 7 listeners on a mount and 35 on another one. Then, suddenly the only line written to the log is [2013-02-13 15:59:06] WARN connection/accept_client accept() failed with

A few build problems
I'm developing a VoIP application and I would like to use CELT as the audio codec. However, I'm running into a few issues. First, this application is cross platform, and my primary development environment is Windows. However, there is no config.h included with CELT, so I seem to have to make my own. I managed to get it to build after a lot of trial and error, but I'm not positive

Game play issues. Ubuntu 8./04, Wine 1.0-rc1
Again with Sacred. During game initialization it authenticates the game disc. When I start the Sacred I get an error: "Please insert Sacred CD 1 into your CD/DVD drive and restart application." When I try to run Sacred from command line I get: path at weiland:~$ wine sacred.exe --verbose wine: could not load L"C:\\windows\\system32\\sacred.exe": Module not found path at

Icecast2 Server - AAC/HE-AAC/aacPlus Support
Hello- You guys have done an excellent job with the Icecast2 server. I probably don't need to tell you that, but I did anyway. We are Coding Technologies licensees and have recently developed a streaming audio encoder supporting AAC/HE-AAC/aacPlus using RTSP/RTP, SHOUTcast HTTP/ICY, and Icecast2 HTTP/ICY, Orban Opticodec-PC. admin.cgi metadata updates
I would just like to confirm that this is suppose to work with Ogg Vorbis streams. I'm using 2.2-kh5 at a hosting company. http://servername.com:9876/admin.cgi?pass=mypassword&mode=updinfo&song=a_song_title I'm sure I have the correct servername, port and password, but it's not working. I can do other admin tasks. When I brought this up a few months ago I'm sure

both ssl and non-ssl stream on the same socket
Hi. I configured icecast to serve a stream over ssl and it plays nice in Chrome and VLC. But on plain http I get *connection reset*. This stream's url is the same for many years now, and it is included in many radio directories, TuneIn and other apps. I can't change it or break it. Is there a way to have a stream that servs the content over ssl and plain http in the same time, depending

interpreting coxph results
I am having trouble understanding results I'm getting back from coxph doing a recurrent event analysis. I've included the model below and the summary. In some cases, with minor variations, the Robust variance and Wald tests are significant, but the individual covariates may or may not be significant. My main question is: If Wald and robust tests both take into account the

Discontinuous encoding and VBR tradeoffs
I don't know why you're getting sound carrying over to the next time you encode - that doesn't sound normal to me. Have you tried saving and examining the raw audio you're feeding to the encoder? Have you tried encoding and decoding that using speexenc/speexdec? I use Speex in VBR mode for a VoIP app. I'm always recording and running the audio through the preprocessor

Fallback trouble with icecast 2.1kh
Hello, I found a fallback trouble on icecast 2.1kh4 (but it's the same with 2.0 I think) : - ices streams live.ogg to icecast - icecast has a fallback live-default.ogg for live.ogg - a listener A listen at live.ogg - I shut down the source - the listener A is trying to read data from its connection, but receives nothing. Sometimes, it gets fallback data, sometimes nothing... (source

* troubles
Hello all, Been a while since I've strolled this way. Apologies in advance if this is a common line of questioning. I've just bought a new Intel 865G based board with a P4 Hyperthreading processor. I believe I've gotten SMP set up correctly: in the menuconfig I specified SMP and told acpi to enumerate processors. Did I leave out anything? Anyway, the dmesg looks good and the

Discontinuous encoding and VBR tradeoffs
I'm writing a voice communication application, and I've got a few issues that I'd like to get ironed out, but I don't know enough about the speex implementation. First of all, this application is mainly used for conferencing - many people are in a room and only 1-2 are ever talking at a time. So, always encoding and transmitting everyone's audio stream would be rather
