Recomendations
Hi Ron,
I'd definitely recommend Ices - seems like the most robust little
thing in the world to me, although I'm not an expert, just a user. We
use it (ices0 actually, because we wanted MP3 broadcasting) to
broadcast our main radio stream at http://www.flatfourradio.co.uk and
no complaints at all.

Dan,
Thanks for the recommendation .. Installed Ices ... and it works like a
dream!
Starting to think the stability of the liveice-sn04 application is less than
I hoped.
Are there any recommendations for a live audio streamer application?
Regards Ron

Re: Severe problem with Icecast2 and streamTranscoder

It seems you were correct. After updating my kernel (!), the CPU load
figures given by 'top' and 'ps' for streamTranscoder suddenly rose from
0.0-0.3% to about 30-60%. There are occasional peaks above that, which
might very well be causing the problem. And the system load now shows

Canon PIXMA mg5420 or HP Photo Smart 7520
In need of a new printer, having done a bit or research, and considering
either the Canon PIXMA mg5420 or the HP Photo Smart 7520.
There are Linux drivers for the Photosmart which are supposed to handle
both the printer and the scanner. But in my research I haven't found
(yet) anyone who's gotten the scanner to work with Linux on the
Photosmart, let alone the sheet feeder for it.

New guy on the block
I am new to icecast. My home project is to stream some of my music
that I have composed over the Internet. If possible, if someone can
provide me some quick pointers ?
I would appreciate it.

Coding in python using shout-python bindings
Hello,
I'm creating a module written in python that brings an easy to implement
interface for the libshout lib, mainly to provide streaming capabilities
to a gnome player called Exaile (http://www.exaile.org). The module is
almost done (already available at
http://devpower.blogsite.org:8080/archivos/icastplugin.py) but I'm
encountering some problems (I believe sync problems):

icast.com has been shutdown
...as it has been announced before.
Also, I can't access www.vorbis.com, it seems that this site came down
together with icast.com. So the only official vorbis web site now is only
at hiph.org. Just to let everyone know...
Greetings,
Aleksandar

[LLVMdev] Buildbot skipping commits?
That would explain it. The commit messages were quite long (especially the second one) and a commit with a smaller message has shown up.
Thanks for letting me know. I'll try to keep them a bit more reasonable in future.

[LLVMdev] Buildbot skipping commits?
Ah, ...no. please don't hesitate to write logs ;) It must be the
subject in the buildbot, not in developer guys.
Galina, I'll write up later, how to tweak this issue. It is not
resolved in released versions, though.
The easiest way is to tweak svnpoller.

[LLVMdev] Buildbot skipping commits?
It's a bug in buildbot. Longer (than 1024, I guess) commit message
might let buildbot commits ignored.
When buildbot is configured with mysql, such a check is done.
FYI, my buildbot tweaks longer commit log, for example;
http://bb.pgr.jp/changes/24995
(Snipping is done not in the buildmaster, but on the commit feeder)
That said, I wish every guys would not be made afraid of commit message...

So if I put the Samba AD DC in, say, "addc.example.com,"
"addc.example.com" must be the Kerberos default_realm?
