Hi, Thanks for provoding the snapshot. Now it refers to following folders which are not included in the package! ../../pthreads ../../oggvorbis-win32sdk-1.0.1/include 1) Can I use http://svn.xiph.org/trunk/ogg insted of oggvorbis-win32sdk-1.0.1? 2) Where do I get pthreads? 3) Is svn for libshout available for public read access? developpement flac avec Icecast

AAC+ (aka 'high efficiency' AAC) works very well on

all players stop after some hours
Dear list, i have a test stream running (ices/2.0, icecast/2.0). It streams oggVorbis files (encoded with -q -1, mono) in an endless loop. And no matter which player i try (WinAMP 3, WinAMP 5.03, newest ogg123 from yesterday's CVS) - they all stop playing after a couple of hours. WinAMP just stops, ogg123 sometimes even crashes totally. Ices runs for days without any glitches, but

mp3 support and compatibility
hello every0ne , it's ad0n from theDV8network.com . i've been hearing of more and more people in my community who are having troubles connecting to our netw0rk . in most cases , wind0ws media player or realone is stealing the associations ; and even if they've installed winamp , the stream doesn't l0ad . i think , at least for the first-time listeners , i need to add mp3 support

Ogg/Icecast vs. Real
After reading through an older thread on this list (streaming ogg audio), I was wondering if would be possible in the future to use OggVorbis and Icecast as a replacement for RealAudio and RealServer. By this I'm not talking about simple live http/tcp streaming, but on-demand rtsp/udp streaming where a user could open a player and instantly jump to a location in a file, or click a link in a

Hi Marvin I followed this advice for updating moov flags in mp4 and it "streams" directly from the file location on the server with html5 video: https://rigor.com/blog/optimizing-mp4-video-for-fast-streaming. Progressive downloading, seeking and video time all works 100% on a 195MB file. Regards On Wed, May 1, 2019 at 10:19 PM Marvin Scholz <epirat07 at gmail.com> wrote: >

on-disconnect -> streamtranscoderv3 (linux server)
hi, so far I'm very happy that I have running an icecast server with streamtranscoder which autimatically transcodes a certein mountpoit (ogg-high-quality) to low, mid and high mp3 stream on-connect. but I'm stuck with two problems: 1. how to determine which stramtranscoderv3 process is reencoding this particular stream? because doing <on-disconnect> just # killall

developpement flac avec Icecast
Thank you, I know that but anyone have been able to help me until today and i know that a french team developper is working in the ogg flac developpement. But it's true it is not polite! (-: Excuse me. I forgot to ask a question. I wonder if i must adapt the streamer Ices or the libshout to stream the oggflac format. Vincent Miekisiak

Hi Fred. Appreciate your response. Maybe in my explanation I have some red and green apples, but I can agree that my understanding is as you explained it. 😊 The point is that if I can successfully stream mp4 with H.264 and AAC encoding without any issues to icecast, I can then use ffmpeg to turn it into HLS which then solves my iOS support issue. The CPU cost of repackaging MP4 into HLS
