Also.. Relaying
I also tried installing Icecast 1.31 ... the config file claims its
relaying capabilities aren't very well tested and I can verify this.
But now I'm concerned that even 2.0 won't work for me in relaying.
I'm trying to relay multiple streams from a cluster these hardware
encoding devices:

Also.. Relaying
I've been working with AudioActive the last couple of days to fix their
behaviour... looks like they're going to update their firmware EPROMs.
What are the chances that Michael's fix below could be incorporated
into a future version, so that all those boxes without the Firmware
upgrade will work?

Problem with Icecast2/Ices streaming MP3.
Hello everyone,
I am running Icecast 2.0.0 with ices-3.0. I run ices on a machine which
has all the mp3 files I am playing and stream these mp3 to Icecast which
is running on another machine. Every now and then, say 2 hours. Ices
keeps churning out errors saying updating meta data and socket errors
and keeps retrying and after some time it suceeds for one file and then
when playing the next file

Client had recoverable error
Hi there,
I?m using icecast 2.0.1 with darkice 0.14 streaming an 192kb mp3 stream.
Everything seems to work fine except that clients (eg winamp5) disconnect
after a period of time (5/10/20 minutes). The icecast log shows some weir
errors:

ICECAST and IRIX
Hello,
anyone using ICECAST (Nekoware) on IRIX 6.5.22?

Problems streaming Ogg Vorbis with icecast2+ices
Hello,
Perhaps it is a typical question but i've got stuck. I'm using icecast2+ices
to stream some ogg vorbis files or voice_in_life (/dev/dsp) over the
network/internet.
All seems to work fine, for example using:
ogg123 http://127.0.0.1:8000/mount
works :). And:
ogg123 http://my_internet_ip:8000/mount
works too from another pc over internet and far away :).
Using mplayer works fine

Problem Two: Icecast Won't Relay...
That fixed it!
The importance of the beginning "/" should probably be emphasized in
the doco, especially since the sample config
says: <local-mount>different.ogg<local-mount>
....could be a little misleading. Also need the closing slash in the
sample XML flags.

Icecast2 and IceS2 client problem
Dear All:
I have Icecast2 and IceS2 successfully built and installed on a Debian 3.0
system. After tinkering with the config files, both applications are running
and seem to be talking to each other without problem. However, when I try to
connect with a client, I run into problems: with Winamp 2.8, I get an [HTTP/1.0
200 OK] message, but then the stream is apparently dropped before buffering.

Updating MetaData at the Relay
Now that 2.2.0 is out, we can update metadata on-the-fly. At
pulverradio.com we are working on an injector that takes the song info
from our broadcast automation software and dumps it in (thanks guys for
the help). I realize that we can inject the song info like so:
http://server.ip:port/admin/metadata?mount=/
mountpoint&mode=updinfo&song=ACDC+Back+In+Black
