Status.xsl not displaying everything
when you compiled icecast, did you disable YP ? the fields that you mention are really only used for YP listing, and so if you have explicitly disabled YP support, then they will not be kept track of in the stats tree... oddsock At 05:17 AM 2/3/2004, you wrote: >Hi guys, > >I've got the following set up: > >- Linux SuSE 8.2 >- Running: Icecast2 >- Source Client:

command line .ogg streamer
I'm terribly sorry if this is off-topic, but I've scoured the web for hours looking for a working .ogg file streamer. I have thousands of ogg files, and I want to be able to set up a playlist, enabling any computer on the network to listen to the stream. Sure, I did it with icecast and liveice when I was using mp3's but now icecast doesn't come with liveice, (I found the source,

Customized M3u for Icecast. Are there additional switches on XML / M3u Ezstream to override MetaData Tags in Mp3 with alternate tags
Hello. I have been streaming IceCast for about three years now and have run into a problem, which I hope this forum can resolve We stream non copyright songs from independent musicians. When they upload their music to our site, they upload Mp3's of which some have entered the MetaData information in the MP3. Problem, musicians dont always do this, leaving the meta data very sparse.... When

stream to icecast and shoutcast
Hello, I would need an advice on how to change the setup of my streaming server. The box is an AMD Sempron 2800+ 512MB of RAM, nvidia nforce2 chipset, running on an OpenBSD 3.7. Changing the OS is the last thing I am prepared to do. The system is runing icecast 2.2.0 and Darkice 0.15beta (live streaming). Because POSIX scheduling is not supported in OpenBSD (darkice message on startup) I am

content on demand HOWTO available
if you point most clients to an mp3 file the entire file must be downloaded before it can start playing. The .m3u and .pls files tell an mp3 client to start downloading and buffer the mp3 so that it can play it while it is downloading. The biggest issue with streaming this way is that if the file is encoded at a bitrate that is higher than can be downloaded by (or served to) the client due to

mp3-streaming client for icecast2
Hi! I'm looking for a streaming client for the icecast2-server. It should just feed mp3-files from a playlist to the icecast2-server. The old shout doesn't work: hout -P a -e 8000 -x -p /big/m3u/list.m3u => [3:21] Size: 3231748 Bitrate: 128000 (41432 bytes/dot) [Server error: [HTTP/1.0 401 Authentication Required ] WWW-Authenticate: Basic realm="Icecast2 Server"

static file streaming
Hi All, Maybe I do something completely wrong and I make some trivial mistakes but the static streaming doesn't work for me. I describe my setup. Thanks, Ivan - I try to reach the following URLs but neither of them worked: http://my.server.hu/try.mp3 http://my.server.hu/try.mp3.m3u http://my.server.hu/list.m3u - The /usr/share/icecast2/web directory contains the following files: try.mp3

about playlist
I have the icecast with some ices working perfectly in a Linux server, mp3 files are reproduced with no problems, I'm quite satisfied with it but I have a little doubt! When users click the link at the HTML page, their default player (like xmms, winamp... etc) doesn't load. That's how I've made the link: <a href="http://my.server:8000/playlist.m3u"> How can I
