On a PII233 system running linux with ogg-vorbis-RC2, when playing a 2-min 48kbps ogg file, ogg123 takes much more CPU time than XMMS (several seconds with ogg123 vs. less than one second for all XMMS threads added up). hi, in an attempt to set up a little stream, i downloaded and installed both icecast2 and liveice-xmms. i can start icecast2, and i can modify the settings to the xmms plugin from within xmms, but i'm at a loss as to how to create a stream, connect it to the server, or then listen to it. i've been looking at the docs on the icecast page[1]. can anyone point me in the right direction?
