But so what it looks like i also can forget it trying to install ices2 for live streaming 'cause OpenBSD makes problems. argl, i think i can give up livestreaming with OpenBSD.
-----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: owner-icecast@xiph.org [mailto:owner-icecast@xiph.org] Im Auftrag von Geoff

Ices 0.x is still developed. So is ices2. They're independent codebases with substantially different capabilities and users. Yes, in retrospect naming it ices2 was a poor

ices produces ogg-files with two logical bitstreams
Hi everybody! I encountered a strange problem with ices-2.0.0. I use a icecast2/ices2 combo ti stream live audio and I use ices to record my stream. This worked well until last week. Since then the recording function produces somehow corrupt ogg-files. I cannot decode them to wav with oggdec, the program tells me "Only one logical bitstream currently supported". ogginfo prints out

file only storing with ices 2 ?
Hi ! my question is how to totally switch off the Ices2 logging into the Icecast server ? I wan't to use ices only to save archives (24h/d), without any streaming, but when I try start Ices, see: [2005-01-19 17:27:05] EROR stream/ices_instance_stream Failed initial connect to localhost:8000 (Couldn't connect: Connection refused) and Ices clears buffers etc. and shuts itself down :-(

I guess I am wondering if this is where most of the development focus will be placed and currently there is a phasing out of ices1 development. I am just needing to

This is to announce version 2.0.1 of ices. It is a small update to 2.0.0 and is compatible to existing configurations. Streaming MP3's from Asterisk with Ices
I am trying to stream an mp3 file from an Asterisk meetme conference. Ices and Icecast are streaming mp3 files on their own. I have looked at the info on the wiki and the various readme files. It appears you need to use Ices2 to work with the confirguration file that Asterisk gives you, but it calls Ices. Ices2 appears to only stream ogg files and i would like to stream an mp3 file. Being

Is something wrong with ices 2.0-kh60a?
Hiya Karl (and everybody else), I noticed today that ices 2.0-kh60a came out last January, and opted to give it a try. Unfortunately, it just wouldn't work at all, so I had to back down to 2.0-kh60. What I get in my log is this: [2006-04-21 21:16:18] DBUG om_shout/check_shout_connected Time we started stream on ice.imars.net:8000/cigr.ogg [2006-04-21 21:16:19] EROR

Do you mean ices 0.2.3? If so, I'm still getting the same error.
On December 12, 2002 18:34, msmith@labyrinth.net.au wrote: > Duke <list_usr@spacebox.net> said: > > I'm certain I've got everything configured correctly, however, I keep > > getting the following message when trying to run ices: > > ices 0.x doesn't use the same protocol as

However, even though I did a 'make install' it's still launching ices 2.0 when I type 'ices' from the command line. So, how do I specify 0.2.3? Can I have both ices 2.0
