Hello there.
I can't use bugtracker because it is permanently think that I'm spammer.

Hi every body ,
( Please forgive my dumb poor english )
I got many tracks in ogg/vorbis format .
I would like to make a "preview" of them .
I mean :
I have a track : foo.ogg ( wich is 3:00 minutes long )
i want to have : preview_foo.ogg ( wich is foo.ogg but from 1:00 -> 1:15 )
I read man oggdec , man ogg123 , man oggenc but i did not see what suits me .

configure can't find speex and flac libraries :-(
Hi everybody!
I just installed vorbis-tools on my linux system fro source, but the configure script can't find the
libraries for speex and flac, so ogg123 is compiled without support for flac and speex. Just know, I
don't need it urgently, but it would have been nice...
I admit, I keep those libraries in a non-standard directory, but ldconfig is configured to find
them. I messed a bit

manpages in mdoc(7)
Dear authors of Vorbis,
currently, the manpages that come with vorbistools
are written in the traditional man(7) markup language.
I am proposing to rewrite them into the semantic markup
of the mdoc(7) language. I am willing to do the work.
Both the man(7) and mdoc(7) languages have been around for decades,
and are supported by the prevalent formatters: groff(1) on most Linuxes
and mandoc(1) on

Transcoding ogg with curl, oggdec, ices2: problem after fallback due to oggdec
Hello,
oggdec is a very simple ogg decoder, and it fails in the following case:
a source A has a fallback A'
transcoder curl | oggdec | ices2 is transcoding to lower bitrates ogg
A fails, all the listeners are transfered to A'
oggdec fails because the stream content changed:

Behaviour of server-side stream dump
Hi:
If a source connects to a mount that has the stream dump enabled and the
file already exists, which of the following will happen:
1. the old file is overwritten.
2. The new stream is appended to the old one.
3. Either the old or new file is written with a modified name so that they
can both exist.
Thanks,
Geoff.

vorbis-tools broken
It seems that oggdec in Fedora 7 produces a wav
header followed by lots of zeros. Building
vorbis-tools 1.0.1 from source produces a working
oggdec, so I think the problem is in the
vorbis-tools package.
I can't build vorbis-tools from svn due to some
make problems, but I can build the F7 SRPM.
There are no differences between the share and
oggdec directories, but there are autoconf

I took a look at this. It is true that oggdec does not

Ogg Player Code
Hello,
In one of my recent assignments, I was asked to develop a ogg player.
I am not able to find the right repository of the source code. There are few repositories on vorbis but I am not clear which one is the right one for Windows environment.
If somebody has successfully compiled any ogg player ever, his ideas will be helpful to me.
In one of the code set, I was able to compile the

OGG validation tool?
Is there some tool for UN*X that basically checks if a file is a
valid, intact, OGG file. I have had some bit rot and need to know what
works and what doesn't, without having to listen through it all.

Oggenc/oggdec on Mac OS X
Hi,
Has anyone succeeded to build oggenc and oggdec on
Mac OS X with static linking? I can build libogg
and libvorbis and install them as dynamic libraries
(by running ./configure, make and then make install).
Then oggenc and oggdec will load them in runtime
and use them. That works fine.
But I'd like to build these two command line tools
so they're linked with all the libraries they

really? That would be a bug unless it rewrites the stream id instead.

automake 1.6 compatability patch
This patch cleans up the vorbis-tools Makefile.am files so they work with both
automake 1.4 and 1.6. Some changes to configure.in were also needed in order
to get things to work (and to fix some ac 2.50 issues).
Please remove config.h from cvs as it is a generated file and empty anyway.
automake 1.6 isn't really incompatable with 1.4, it's just more picky about
you sticking to the rules:

fallback source give up and returns to original source
I forgot to mention that the patched version seams to work fine, except that one of the listener (curl | oggdec | ices)
don't like the source content change. I have to search for that.

Vorbis decoder sample code
Hi,
I'm a Pocket PC developer and have created a audio translator application on this platform. I currently make use of
an MP3 decoder engine, but due to heavy licensing fees I'm thinking of switching over to a patent free format.
Vorbis presents the best approach.
I read that tremor decoder has been especially optimized for embedded devices. I'd like to make use of
this and

oggdec.exe not using album gain stdout option
This question is mainly directed at John Edwards, I believe. I'm attempting
to use oggdec.exe in a batch conversion of ogg vorbis files for use on a
portable player. I'm using the -o option to redirect output to the LAME
encoder. So far so good.
However, I also want to do volume leveling using the replaygain tags. If I
specify track (radio) gain, everything works fine, however, when I

Can someone provide win32 binaries for vorbis-tools 1.2.0?
Hello list,
I have been requested privately for vorbis-tools 1.2.0 binaries for
Windows. Twice. Which means there are people out there who'd really
like to have them available. I cannot compile stuff for Windows,
though, so if someone could make available said binaries, it would be
much appreciated.

vorbis-tools 1.2.0 Release Candidate
I bumped the version number of vorbis-tools and am preparing it for an
eventual release in a few days.
A changelog of what's new may be found at [1].
Meanwhile, what's in SVN is a "Release Candidate" to find out if
anything was broken since version 1.1.1. Report any (or lack of)
problems you may find, so we'll be able to put out a new version of
vorbis-tools.
