Disconnect listerens after X min
Hi Jappe, a) Please put the script on a webpage, send the link to this mailinglist and maybe somebody will put a link to such a useful feature-addon. Question to Oddsock and other devs: b) Is there already a plugin-mechanism in icecast that could be used to write a small snap-in directly? We talked about such an interface a *long* time ago, but it seems it was forgotten somehow. (Plans were

Update ezstream playlist 'on the fly'
Hi, I'm using ezstream to stream a list of mp3 files to my icecast2 server which works great. I'm using a m3u playlist file which ezstream reads when it starts and rereads when it loops. The problem is that this playlist is quite long and I would like to be able to inject a song last minute some where in the playlist. I have two options at the moment to do this: - restart ezstream -

Q: Client connection time limits.
I have a working patch to the icecast 2.0.0 source which implements time limits in the form of a <client-time-limit> element in the server conf file. The time limit is set in seconds, with 0 seconds meaning there is no time limit, and is also the default, obviously. This is a global config directive, ie it effects all clients connected to all mount points. Should I also add a

maximum file descriptor limit - icecast freeze
Hi! A week ago I had a blocked icecast server because of the open files. I read some posts about the 1024 fd limit but this is not the case. My stations rarely has 300 listeners. From the log I can see that around 3PM I had 7 listeners on a mount and 35 on another one. Then, suddenly the only line written to the log is [2013-02-13 15:59:06] WARN connection/accept_client accept() failed with

listeners and requests
Running rails, lighttpd and scgi. If I use only one listener is it right that the server will only be able to serve one request at a time? I have one action that takes a long time to complete (makes a system call to a java app), when this action is being called the whole server seems to be locked, however, all other requests (from other clients) that come in during this period are being qeued

Streamer / scheduler - play file at predifined time?
thanks, this works but its almost impossible to make all my programs to add up to an hour exactly so at some stage I would need to kill the a song half way through just before the news at the top of the hour. Update ezstream playlist 'on the fly'
Jappe: I've just added this functionality to ezstream. You can now send ezstream a SIGHUP and it will re-read the currently processing playlist file (it will currently do nothing if you are reading from stdin). In this case ezstream will keep track of the last track played and will reposition to that track (if it exists in the new playlist, otherwise it will just restart at the

Off topic -- when is max min = min max?
This question has little or nothing to do with R; as usual I'm simply hoping to take advantage of the great depth of knowledge and expertise in the R community. Anyone who is interested in replying should send email directly to me (rolf at math.unb.ca) and not to this list. To get to my question: In a two person zero-sum game, the value of the game to the row player is v_r = max min

hi, is there a way, to create a stastic about listernes, mountpoints and music tiltes? I saw some cacti scripts, but i have no webserver installed on the streamserver, so i would use only plain files, also a database could be improving some things. So, how can i do this? cu denny -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Name: signature.asc Type:
