Status.xsl not displaying everything
when you compiled icecast, did you disable YP ? the fields that you
mention are really only used for YP listing, and so if you have explicitly
disabled YP support, then they will not be kept track of in the stats tree...

Stream name, genre, description and url are NOT present here also! I've got
the feeling that we're isolating the problem here, so that's fine... but: if
the stream name doesn't

I don't know the dev-status right now, but I'd say this is not a bug it's a feature. ;) explanation follows later on.

stream to icecast and shoutcast
Hello,
I would need an advice on how to change the setup of my streaming server.
The box is an AMD Sempron 2800+ 512MB of RAM, nvidia nforce2 chipset, running on an OpenBSD 3.7.
Changing the OS is the last thing I am prepared to do.
The system is runing icecast 2.2.0 and Darkice 0.15beta (live streaming). Because POSIX scheduling is not supported in OpenBSD (darkice message on startup) I am

Announcing Version 2.0.0 of Icecast
After many years of development and testing, icecast has finally moved to
2.0.0.
What's new in 2.0 ?
* completely rewritten codebase from 1.x - highly efficient and low
memory usage.
* addition of new media types (Ogg Vorbis) and a framework to add new
ones easier. Icecast still supports MP3 streaming as well (including
shoutcast-style metadata)
* a web-based administration

It's a question of getting the compiler environment setup to do the port. Much
of libshout and ices2 are ready but, certain things like live input are different
from whats in windows.

winamp 5 release
I just downloaded & installed the final release and it works fine for me.
There is still the old problem with Winamp crashing when a vorbis stream is
interrupted or the internet connection is dodgy. This is an issue with
in_vorbis.dll v1.35 and Nullsoft don't appear to want to fix it.
I'm having to recommend my clients to use MP3 for streaming to supermarkets,
malls etc because of

icecast status page -status.xsl
So I point my browser to
http://206.168.174.48:8000/status.xsl
Looking at the xsl doc status.xsl I some some nice variables I can
use. For some reason I don't seem to be able to pull out the comment
tag from the ogg file. I used to easytag to add this so i know it
exists.
These appear to work

<xsl:value-of select="title"

Parsing status.xsl
hi
i work for a non-for-profit broadcaster and we use Icecast to serve a
number of community radio stations - and it does a great job.
i'd like to parse or edit the status.xsl file into a series of files
that only show information for one mountpoint or station at a time.
i have no idea of XSL syntax but looking at
/usr/share/icecast/content/status.xsl i see the following statement

Yes. Though I don't know if using an arbitrary one works from the admin
directory. Certainly you can put them in icecast's webroot directory (or some

Parsing status.xsl
Thanks for the tip on those scripts. They're exactly what I've been
looking for for a number of years now.
Althogh the first one doesn't seem to be online anymore. If anyone's
willing to send it to me, I'd love to host it for anyone else that
would like to download it in the future.
