Multiple Beginner Questions
Hi Everyone --
First and foremost, I'd like to thank the creators of Icecast and all the
ancillary tools. Most excellent work!
I'm running a somewhat unique radio station called LamRim Radio which hosts
Tibetan Buddhist teachings and recently hosted a semi-real-time teaching by
His Holiness the Dalai Lama of Tibet...

Icecast has been working flawlessly for months serving hundreds of users a
day... But something strange is now going on... Do you know what it could be?
I start the icecast as usual:
/usr/sbin/icecast -c /etc/icecast/icecast.conf
Then the ices "player"
/usr/local/icecast/bin/ices -c /usr/local/icecast/conf/ices.conf
But now, the player is now dying constantly with Invalid

Dear Mr. 'Sock --
First let me say "Major Thanks!!!" for your work in developing the Oddcast

I have a couple of questions I'm wondering if you can help me with...

ISDN in Japan?
Hi all,
general query here --- I'm about to set up an asterisk box for use in Japan
but can't figureout if it's all ISDN there or what?
I have gathered so far that the two major providers, NTT and KVH both offer
ISDN lines with .......INS1500 and maybe INS64 protocols?
Not sure...
But I'm seeing stuff about J1 vs. T1/E1 ....
so does that mean I can't use a Digium card it

Few questions about Asterisk
Hello,
I have few questions about Asterisk.
I installed Asterisk from CVS on FreeBSD and I made cvsup 2 days ago.
1.I couldn't find Asterisk version using "asterisk -V" command.
How can I to find version information?
2.I am using Wildcard X101P (FXO) and Wildcard TDM400P REV E/F (FXS)on
it.
I tried Asterisk CallerID feature, but unable to get it.
I tried callerid signaling V23,

Thai vignette, cross-compile for Mac OS X, universal/multiarch (Fwd: Mac OS X builds of CelQuantileNorm, vcftools/samtools/tabix, and snpStats)
FYI.
There is a Thai vignette - and it went a lot further doing some Thai text
processing in R, than the earlier Chinese/Tibetan/LiangshanYi/Arabic vignette,
which was in reality just Chinese + Cairo graphics.
Managed to cross-compile an R package for Mac OS X from Linux; and it seems to
be working. See screenshots below. I'd be interested to know if there are less
obvious bugs; however

updating tzdata on CentOS 7
Hello,
Government of Mongolia decided to adopt DST from this 28th March 2015. It?s changes are submitted and accepted by IANA. It seems that update to tzdata (2015b) issued for CentOS 6, but not for CentOS 7. Could you please tell when an update for CentOS 7 will be issued?
Thank you.

kphone fails to register with asterisk (sip)
hi all
when starting kphone, it tries to register with asterisk but fails after a
while. The SIP entry in * for this user is below. This is identical to the
other SIP entries. The other SIP clients are MSN messenger plus one snom.
these work fine. See SIP debug output attached as 'screen-exchange'

Icecast Directory
Why does my stream not show up in the Icecast directory but it does show up in the Shoutcast directory?
I have the following lines listed in my icecast.conf file.
icydir yp.shoutcast.com
directory yp.icecast.org
If I check the icecast.log file I see the following is occurring every couple minutes.

ggridges help
The min_height = -0.25 is there to make it show cycle values down to -1/4.
You may want to change it to -1 so it shows more of the cycle values.

Reversing one dimension of an array, in a generalized case
Thanks again. I am going to try the different versions. But I probably won't be able to get to it till next week.
This is probably at the point where anything further should be sent to me privately.

Reversing one dimension of an array, in a generalized case
On the off chance that anyone is still interested, here is the corrected function using aperm():
z <- array(1:120,dim=2:5)
f2 <- function(a, wh) {
idx <- seq_len(length(dim(a)))
dims <- setdiff(idx, wh)
idx <- append(idx[-1], idx[1], wh-1)
aperm(apply(a, dims, rev), idx)
}
all.equal(f(z, 1), f2(z, 1))
# [1] TRUE
all.equal(f(z, 2), f2(z, 2))
# [1] TRUE
