icecast and ssl -error?
Hi!
I configuered icecast 2 successfull but the make command runs an error.
A ssl error!?!
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-suse-linux/3.3/../../../../i486-suse-linux/bin/ld:
cannot find -lssl
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[3]: *** [icecast] Error 1
I'm confused! What does icecast with ssl?? And how can I solve the
problem? Has anybody an idea??
Greetings

Problem compiling Icecast on RedHat
Hi,
I'm trying to build Icecast on a RedHat AS3 workstation. All the requisite
libraries are already bundled with the distro. IThe compile runs for maybe
30 seconds (maybe less) and then fails. The last few lines of the make
output are appended below. I'm not even sure what it's actually complaing
about.
gcc -pthread -g -O2 -o icecast cfgfile.o main.o logging.o sighandler.o

[PATCH 0/4] supermin: use dnf on Mageia
Hi,
as pointed out by Neal Gompa, Mageia recently introduced dnf in the
distribution (currently only in Cauldron, which is the future Mageia 6),
and most probably it will replace urpmi in the future.
As such, on Mageia make supermin prefer dnf over urpmi when found,
using the same code already used for Fedora.
Related change: make test-harder.sh work explicitly also on Mageia

To install these, from console as root do:
urpmi liblapack3

> libgcc_s.so.1 (GLIBC_2.0)
urpmi libgcc3

Hi
Having my first go at compiling Asterisk from cvs source.
Compiled and installed zaptel ok
Running make asterisk returns the following error message
/usr/bin/ld cannot find -lssl
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
The last part of the compile messages on screen are-
editline/libedit.a db1.ast/libdb1.a stdtime/libtime.a -ldl -lncurses -lm
-lresolv -lssl
There is obviously something I have

Samba 3.0.1 from samba.org shows "bgmilne" as username
When I attempted to "rpm -i samba3-3.0.0-1.1mdk.src.rpm" this morning on
my Mandrake 9.2 box, I got an unusual message that doesn't make sense.
It said, over and over (thirteen times total):
WARNING: user bgmilne does not exist - using root
When it went back to root prompt, I did an "updatedb", but nothing for
"samba-3" is found when I did the urpmi request.

[PATCH] customize: use --noconfirm when installing Arch Linux packages
Otherwise the installation will fail right away, since pacman by default
asks for confirmation of the operation.

what the best ? apt-get? yum or urpmi ?
Hello, I must make a choice concerning the use of a tool used to update
rpms: yum, urpmi or apt-get.
Personally, I use urpmi every day, without real problems (the
dependences, even those of Perl are very well managed),
the "hdlist" can be used in several forms , it contains a lot of
funtions but, it is not integrated into
up2date and does not have a graphic interface that fits Centos3

[LLVMdev] Migrate Project Build system to LLVM BitCode
Hi Ahmad,
If the Makefile contains only this command, then it is not worth spending time on GoldPlugin. If you are building a large project, then it will be simpler to use GoldPlugin.
The steps you are using seem right. You can possibly combine the last two steps (3&4) using only 1 clang command.
clang -g -O2 -o .libs/mergedexe .libs/mergedbc.bc -pthread -Wl,--export-dynamic

[LLVMdev] Migrate Project Build system to LLVM BitCode
Hi All,
I am migrating a build system of an existing project from 'Object files' based executable generation to 'LLVM Bitcode' files based exe generation and applying OPT pass to LLVM Bitcode. I found out the following 4 step procedure. Please let me know if this is the right procedure or is there any other easy way of doing it. I need to modify 'Makefile' accordingly. I
