Fwd: libshout headers
Sent again, as original seems to get lost in cyberspace.
BTW, this is not the sole compilation problem in ices.
src/ices_config.c use the followind includes:
#include <parser.h>
#include <xmlmemory.h>
whereas libmxl includes are in /usr/include/libxml

strange issue with xerox printer: unable to configure driver
Hello list.
I've a strange issue with a samba 3.4.3 print server. Everything is fine
with most printers, meaning drivers are assigned on server side and
automatically distributed to the clients as expected. However, I fail to
configure a Xerox document center 7435 the same way.
When I attempt to assign a driver to the printer, from a windows client
with admin privileges, I get an

insufficient fix for gcc localised output in stubdom makefile
Hello.
There was a slight change in stubdom makefile from 3.3 to 3.3.1, in
order to use non-localised gcc output:
GCC_INSTALL = $(shell LANG=C gcc -print-search-dirs | sed -n -e
''s/install: \(.*\)/\1/p'')
However, this is still unsuffient to just set LANG:
[guillomovitch@n2 xen]$ LANG=C gcc -print-search-dirs | sed -n -e
''s/install: \(.*\)/\1/p''

ICeS Installation
Hi,
Am trying to build the source but am having this libshout dependency issue.
I have downloaded libshout3 but each time i try to run the configure, it
still says 'libshout not found'. Is there any config file for the route of
this libshout dependency?
Thanks

ffmpeg2theora icecast ubuntu edgy
Hi,
I just wanna share with you my experience with theora ffmpeg2theora,
icecast2 and ubuntu edgy. I wanted to broadcast live video on an Ubuntu
machine with ffmpeg2theora, oggfwd and icecast2.
I read the thread
http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/icecast/2005-February/008608.html about
the stream dying after a couple seconds with libshout 2.0.
Now the same happens if you use libshout3 v2.2 with

Simple source on Debian
Hello everyone.
I just joined this list, and I was wondering if any of you might have
any suggestions. I'm looking for a source that will run on Debian,
that would simply send mp3 files I have in a folder to my Icecast2
server in a random order. I do not require anything special, like
random ads, scheduling support, etc.
I've given Liquidsoap a try, but it seems to be far too complex for

Simple source on Debian
Hi there.
Thanks for the tip about Ices2. Do you know if it's possible to make
it work with mp3 files? I only ask because there are several people
who stream using my server, and they use mp3. I'm trying to create
fallback streams, but in order for that to work, I'd have to get them
to switch to ogg or find a way to make Ices work with mp3.
Thanks

Bizarre (and irritating) ices2 error
I get this error every time I try to start ices:
ices: relocation error: ices: undefined symbol: resolver_initialize
I'm running a Celeron with 64MB of RAM which up until last moth, ran ices with
absolutely no complaint.
Here are the steps I've taken to resolve this problem:
Full update from debian/unstable
-no effect
Full reinstall of all dependencies using CVS checkouts

Dell Servers
Hi,
I was planning on getting a Dell PowerEdge 2950 for our new Asterisk
configuration.
But while searching for documentation about it and/or reported issues, I
found this:

(Sorry for not replying directly, I'm not on the list and I can't figure out if
gmane allows me to reply to a mail.)
It's probably best to try and contact the committer first - It's possible few

Adding power devices support to Fusion Inventory
Dear Fusion Inventory fellows,
I've been thinking about working on adding power devices knowledge to
inventory systems for years.
Following the last Ubuntu Developer Summit, I know have an "excuse" to do
so:
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/servercloud-p-cloud-power-management
My below proposition is related to the above blueprint. So please keep in
mind that the

BUG: page-aligned data in libshout
I've spent three days tracking this bug down.. I have yet to find how to
fix it in the code, tho I do have a workaround which proves the nature
of the bug. Sorry for the somewhat-overkill nature of explaining this
bug, but some people have been doubting it so I'm going to give the
evidence nessesary to prove the nature of it.
If you send page-aligned data to libshout (via shout_send) it
