Some questions and problems about setting up Icecast2

ices compile problems (was: libshout compile problems)
Hi, orry but when I said that I have the same problems when trying to compile libshout, i was wrong. My libshout compiles successfully but I have these problems when trying to compile ices2. after running autogen.sh I get the following response: ------------------------------- I am going to run ./configure with no arguments - if you wish to pass any to it, please specify them on the

ogg.m4 and vorbis.m4
Greetings everyone. I have 2 quick questions about ao/ao.m4, ogg/ogg.m4, and vorbis/vorbis.m4. 1. Is there any reason that the macros are named AM_PATH_AO, AM_PATH_OGG, and AM_PATH_VORBIS? Can we change them to something else? I ran into a problem when trying to add support for ogg/vorbis into a package today: Automake assumes that anything beginning with AM_ belongs to automake -- these two

Some questions and problems about setting up Icecast2
I've finally decided to take the plunge and set up an Icecast 2 server on my Linux 2.4.18 machine. After asking in #vorbis, I was told that I need ice2 and ices. From what I understand, ice2 is the Icecast2 server, while ices is a program that sends it data to push to its clients. Am I right? After downloading both modules, the first problem I've ran into is executing the

Mac OS X / Darwin patch for vorbis-tools
This patch (along with all the previous patches) gets oggenc and ogg123 working. This does not get vorbiscomment working, although I assume that would be trivial -- just add the getopt stuff to the project just like I did in ogg123. In addition to this patch, as I just mentioned, getopt1.c getopt.h and getopt.c need to be copied from oggenc to ogg123 and added. The host check in

autogen.sh trouble with latest CVS checkout
Hello All: I just checked out the whole icecast but cannot build anything because autogen wouldn't cooperate. I have automake-1.7.6 just installed from ftp.gnu.org. Below is an example output in trying to build "icecast"; it's not very short... Thanks in advance for any help. --- $~/icecast/icecast> ./autogen.sh Checking for automake version found automake found

RE: Asterisk-Users digest, Vol 1 #3408 - 12 msgs
I am looking to install a web interface for Asterisk to transfer calls and look who's on the phone. If anybody has a working web interface please let me know. I installed the www.asternic.com (operator) But when I bring up my web browser it says transferring data and does not bring a browser. -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com

ice2 CVS build problems under Solaris 7
Hi: If you want to use icecast 2 for streaming vorbis audio then don't get it from the CVS repository at icecast.org. That's ancient developer stuff in there. Instead get it from the xiph.org CVS repository (see http://www.xiph.org/cvs.html which I see now lists the icecast stuff (yay!). You'll need the icecast module plus the avl, httpp, log, net, thread and timing modules (check

[PATCH 2/5] autogen.sh: replace this by a simple call to autoreconf
The autoreconf tool is provided by autoconf to do what custom autogen.sh scripts in many projects used to do. Only it is more robust and widely tested. It has been available for several years, too. No reason to rely on custom code for this. Signed-off-by: Max Horn <max at quendi.de> --- Makefile.am | 2 - autogen.sh | 168

[PATCH libguestfs] build: enable automake's color-tests option
Only marginally useful, but some like it... This makes tests print "PASS" in green, and "FAIL" in red, when possible: The autogen.sh snippet ensures that this automake-1.11 feature is disabled when building-from-clone on a system with too-old automake. This *does* modify a source file (and a version-controlled one at that), but only when building from source on e.g. RHEL*

libshout compile problems
No, it's not his version of autoconf or automake. I had the same errors even with the latest versions available for my debian distribution. I only could help myself by using one of my precompiled binaries from a previous cvs snapshot. I haven't tried it with the current snapshot but I also don't know if there had been any update lately. Tremor maintenance
hi, could someone please apply these to Tremor svn? 0001-update_symbols.patch there are 3 public symbols in the headers, which are missing in the linker script and thus marked as private again. This causes issues for e.g. gstreamer (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=616194). 0002-pkgconfig.patch this adds a pkg config file You probably also want to do something like Index:
