Using ices or shout with continuously growing files?
I also tried such things:
lxserv:/mnt/fatbass# tail -f recording.mp3 | /usr/local/icecast/bin/ices -M
stdinpcm -h localhost -p 40044 -P password
Logfile opened
Could not find a valid playlist file.
Ices Exiting...
In this case I try to KEEP READING the mp3 file (which becomes continuously
larger), and pipe it to ices (how should I do this?). But ices isn't nice to
me and keeps asking for a

eApps Shout Out!
A lot of times I see posts about which hosting providers are great
for Rails. I want to give a shout out to Eapps.com. They have been
my hosting provider for the past 3 years, they have the best tech
support in the hosting business in my opinion. Always willing to
help you out.
All Eapps accounts are VPS (Virtual Private Server) and start at $10
running Cent OS (Redhat) Linux. They

Yes. Sometimes it will go to -1. It shouldn't ever be off by 400 :)

Didn't someone do this and post it to icecast-dev? Or was that something
else? I'm not a perl programmer. I'd just hate to see someone duplicate
work

icecast and shout
Hello, I have icecast runnig I think.
I made enqripted password with makepasswd -crypt
and then I got pass1 og pass2. As I understand it the pass1 is a uncripted
password and
pass2 encrypted.
I put the pass2 in to the /etc/icecast/icecast.conf and then started it with
icecast -p pass1
Then i put pass2 in to the /etc/icecast/shout.conf
I have tried all variations about having the password

Shout: "couldn't connect"
I am running Icecast 1.3.12-debian, with libshout 2.0 and Shout 2.0.1. When I
run example.pl in the Shout build directory directory, I get the error
"couldn't connect..." I'm not sure where to look to unravel this error. Icecast
is working fine and streaming static files smoothly.

Debian Woody Icecast & Shout Bad Password Error
I installed both icecast-server & icecast-client from stable Debian dist.
My icecast.conf looks to be correct, but when I run the shout client, I get
the following error:
Server error: [ Error - Bad password ]
I've tried to insert the password into the command line, but it doesn't
change anything.

Shout Multiple Mount Problem
Hello,
I am running Icecast (v 1.3.12) and Shout on a Mandrake machine. I run
Shout twice on 2 different mounts. I check and see that there are 2
Shout processes running. However, I can only listen to the content on
the first mount (default mount) even if I type in the url for the second
mount.
I don't know what other information I can provide here.
Thank you.

RFC: python-shout-python rpm package
Hi,
I adapted Sebastien Corot's SuSe SRPM to Fedora Core 4:
ftp://infogerance.locataire-serveur.info/fedora/SRPMS/python-shout-python-0.2-2.src.rpm
May be some has comments on it.
I CC'd the initial packager.
If you just want the binaries, you can use my repository. Just add this

Shout.delay
Hi list,
I'm the main developper of liquidsoap, the streamer from the Savonet
project (http://savonet.sf.net). This streamer mainly uses shout2 as
an output plugin, but also alsa, raw data over rtp, etc. And many
outputs can be used in the same instance of liquidsoap. For that
reason, we don't use directly sync and delay from libshout, but have a
centralized scheduler, which should avoid
