Icecast winamp oddcast mountpoint problem?
>Using stream transcoder (also an oddsock tool) instead of multiple instances of oddcast DSP might help. Hmm, there is another problem. From this transcoder I can't choose my input device. I have 2 sound cards. First one is making an mp3 archive from audio source and the other one is/will be used for broadcasting. >and make sure you are using the latest version of the plugin. also try

Icecast winamp oddcast mountpoint problem?
Hi there! I'm new to the list and I'm experiencing somekind of problem. I have installed icecast 1.3.12 as a OpenBSD 3.2 port. I use winamp (on win2000) for encoding with muchFX and 4 oddcast DSP plugins for different streams. Streams are mounted in /low /medium /high /vh mount points. From icecast logfiles it seems that everything is working ok. When I try to connect with a client

Winamp v5.22 / oddcast / aac+
Ok, it's not as bad as I thought. With some investigation and discussion with a "Major Dude" in the Winamp forums, it appears to be a bug in Winamp v5.22 with streams that end with the mountpoint extension .aac. I changed the mountpoint to end with .aacp and now it works fine. Regards, Ross. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ross Levis"

Something else, Greg. Are you aware of any 3G / 2.5G (EDGE) clients for mobile phones that support AAC+ streaming? Be it java or symbian based. strange noise from icecast
Hello, I'm using icecast for at least 3 months now and I am experiencing a strange noise and also some echo effect (from time to time) and I can't identify the source of this noise. I tryed almost everything, from TCP fragment reassembling to cheking my hardware. I just have no more ideas what to check. The streams can be found here: live.radiocapris.com:8000/low

Winamp v5.22 / oddcast / aac+
I believe that Oddsock is using a Content Type of aacp. Using a .aac extension with this Content Type may present a conflict. This might actually be by design. I will do some further testing with Winamp and report here tomorrow. I will also double-check with the developer of Winamp for complete clarification. FYI, Orban Opticodec-PC allows the use of either Content Type of aac or aacp. aac is

Oddcast not working with WinAmp 5.01
I recently reformatted & reinstalled Windows98. Oddly, only now after a fresh re-install has Oddcast been behaving badly with WinAmp 5.01. It shows up in the DSP catagory as a mirror of the previous plugin, plus "[dsp_oddcast_v2.dll]". I know Oddcast isn't configurable by the WinAmp Configure Plugin button, but it shouldn't give this message when I try:

Oddcast not working with WinAmp 5.01
Does Oddcast have any Windows98 dependancies that I might be missing after doing a reformat? Can't think of what else might be wrong... =( - Chris >From: "Christopher G" <djmoguta@hotmail.com> >Reply-To: icecast@xiph.org >To: icecast@xiph.org >Subject: Re: [icecast] Oddcast not working with WinAmp 5.01 >Date: Wed, 14 Jan 2004 08:43:18 -0500 >

Multiple Winamp/Oddcast processes
Hello Oddsock and interested parties. Our first multiple stream test broadcast today on one PC and found one problem with the Oddcast plugin. We have multiple Winamps installed in separate folders and are loading each Winamp with a different Windows class name, so that each one may be controlled with external software via Windows messages. The problem is that all streams are sending the same

Winamp v5.22 / oddcast / aac+
I'm not sure if this is an icecast issue or oddcast issue or both, but the latest Winamp (v5.22) is not now playing AAC+ streams encoded with Oddcast. Winamp v5.21 and earlier versions work fine. This may be some attempt by Winamp developers to force people to use Shoutcast, or to prevent oddcast from using their enc_aacplus.dll. Right, just took some time to set up the Shoutcast DSP to

Winamp/Oddcast Silent output
Hi everybody, I have an easy question here. Is there any silent output option for Winamp/Oddcast? I have a computer that I use as an encoder but it has no soundcard installed so I am using SAM2 because there is a "Silent output" option in the audio mixer pipeline. It means the sound encoded never passes through the soundcard because everything is managed by the software. I prefer free

stream to icecast and shoutcast
Hello, I would need an advice on how to change the setup of my streaming server. The box is an AMD Sempron 2800+ 512MB of RAM, nvidia nforce2 chipset, running on an OpenBSD 3.7. Changing the OS is the last thing I am prepared to do. The system is runing icecast 2.2.0 and Darkice 0.15beta (live streaming). Because POSIX scheduling is not supported in OpenBSD (darkice message on startup) I am

strange noise from icecast
It worked OK for past 4 days and now again with that noise. I restarted icecast server and again I have clear sound. It looks that the problem is in icecast. -----Original Message----- From: Remco B.
