Domain member, security = ADS|domain and trusts with NT4
I presently have a Samba server (3.0.21b) set up as a member server in an NT4 domain (with a real Windows NT4 PDC). We are migrating to an Active Directory domain (with a real Windows 2003 domain controller). We have set up a two-way trust between the old NT4 domain "CLUNKY" and the new ADS domain "SLEEK" (aka sleek.local). The Samba server is a member of the CLUNKY domain

Configuration help with ices 0.3
Well I’ve looked through the configuration file several times and I still do not see the mistake I’ve made. Icecast 2.0.1 seems to be working just fine and starts up without problems. But if I try and start ices I keep getting the error that it cannot connect to 127.0.0.1:8000 because the login failed. Yet I know the password I gave it is correct so I can only presume there is a configuration

Ices -> Icecast Authentication Failure
Hello, list -- Sorry for the dumb post about confirmation -- I've always wanted to run majordomo so I could see how this stuff works. Whoops! I guess replying to the email really isn't the thing to do -- even though it explicitly states it as an option... My problem, outside of list etiquette, is this: having compiled all the latest, installed, etc., ... having read all I can find

ices-2.0.0 compile problems

No, it's not that. # rpm -q libshout libshout-2.0-1.dag # rpm -q libshout-devel libshout-devel-2.0-1.dag It's the half-hard-coded shout/shout.h path in the source. Since libshout is installed by rpm in /usr/include, the path will never match. Even if

ices-2.0.0 compile problems
Hi Running ./configure --prefix=/whatever I got stuck with checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config checking shout/shout.h usability... no checking shout/shout.h presence... no checking for shout/shout.h... no configure: error: must have libshout installed! Having edited configure line 20056 and changed shout/shout.h to /usr/include/shout.h , I run into the next problem:

Possible ICES/Icecast bug
Hi, I wonder if you can help. I am running Icecast 2.4.4, Ices 2.0.2 and libshout 2.4.3. There has been a recent upgrade to libshout and I notice that my previous ices configuration no longer works. In the ices log I get the error message: [2019-07-10 11:10:30] INFO ices-core/main IceS 2.0.2 started... [2019-07-10 11:10:30] INFO signals/signal_usr1_handler Metadata update requested [2019-07-10

Trouble running IceS
Hello, I have tried to build ices both from CVS and from the latest tarball from the web site (using a varienty of configure options, or autogen.sh in the case of cvs). Whenever I try to run it I get errors: cadmium:/work/dl/Audio/streaming/ices-0.2.3 # /usr/local/icecast/bin/ices --help /usr/local/icecast/bin/ices: error while loading shared libraries: libgcc_s.so.1: cannot open shared object

I am new to linux so please be forgiving. I downloaded both ices and libshout. I tried to compile with "--with-shout-config=/etc/stream" but this returned the same result as in the previous email:

ices compile problems (was: libshout compile problems)
Hi: I've not had any problems compiling libshout and ices2 on my debian woody system with the default autotools (I think they're automake 1.4p4 and autoconf 2.53 if memory serves). I use libogg and libvorbis 1.0 though, not current CVS. I do use libshout and ices2 cvs though. If auto* tools turn out to be a suspect, you can get packages right up to automake 1.7 under woody. Geoff.

Can't compile ices kh static
Hello, I have oen trouble to compile ices kh 57 as a static executable. I built ogg, vorbis, libhshout with enable-static. ld.so.conf is up to date to find shared libs. When I compile ices non static, everything is ok. But when I add export LDFLAGS="-static" before calling configure for ices, then I get this error message: configure: error: Need libshout-kh release I'm using only
