Heya All, Im having difficulties compiling rsync. when i run 'make' the build errors out on me. I run configure without any fancy options. The same goes for the make command. I have had this error, or a similar one since version 2.5.1 op to at least v2.5.5 I am using "-O3 -mcpu=i686 -march=i686" as additional compiler flags, however removing them does not make difference.

On an i686 with glibc 2.5 installed I'm not able to compile rsync 3.0.2 and later. rsync 3.0.0 was no problem, this compiled. Also on an x86_64 with glibc 2.7 installed rsync compiled. Hi I am trying to compile rsync-2.5.5 on Tru64 UNIX V5.1A The configure completed sucessfully however the make failed. The following is a copy of the configure and make output. Could you please provide advice as to why this is failing and hopefully resolution. Just as a matter of comparison - rsync-2.5.4 make also fails, however, rsync-2.4.8 compiled sucessfully on this version of Tru64 5.1A

I just tried to build the 4.7p1 on AIX 5.2, with Kerberos 5 enabled, using the IBM Kerberos implementation (krb5.client.rte, krb5.toolkit.adt, etc.) Is this supposed to work, or is the full MIT Kerberos distribution required? IBM provides an older version of OpenSSH (4.3p2), with Kerberos support, but there are some problems with it, and I was hoping the problems would be resolved with
