Hello, Perhaps it is a typical question but i've got stuck. I'm using icecast2+ices to stream some ogg vorbis files or voice_in_life (/dev/dsp) over the network/internet. All seems to work fine, for example using: ogg123 http://127.0.0.1:8000/mount works :). And: ogg123 http://my_internet_ip:8000/mount works too from another pc over internet and far away :). Winamp3 is broken according to some posts here. Try Winamp 2.91 or the latest XMMS. Of course, XMMS requires the xmms-mp3 libraries. Try that and see if it helps. Hi folks Got Icecast2 running on Redhat8 with IceS2 as a source, streaming some OGG files. All works nicely (not _especially_ reliable :) but it seems to lock up the Freedomaudio java player between tracks. Everytime a new file begins, the player stops and says 'Loading'. I just tried installing the flac plugin for Winamp 3, and Winamp reports that, "This application has failed to start because MSVCRTD.dll was not found." The fact that it's trying to link against MSVCRTD.dll rather than MSVCRT.dll suggests that the plugin was built in debug mode; most Windows installations won't have MSVCRTD.dll unless Visual Studio is installed. ,steven.
