thanks, this works but its almost impossible to make all my programs to add up to an hour exactly so at some stage I would need to kill the a song half way through just before the news at the top of the hour. This is what I was sorta complaining about - the documentation is lacking. I still don't comprehend how the mountpoints work at all. Can anyone explain to me how they work ? Does the mountpoint point to a local file/folder or is it something else ? The example configurations just confuse matters. Hi: If you're just wanting to serve static files then the fileserve function of icecast will probably serve you better. But yes, you would have to make a thousand files. Probably better to write some kind of script to push a .m3u or .pls file generated from the filename passed as a parameter. At least then you wouldn't have lots of tiny m3u files all over the place.
