That is set up via the config file and is used for accessing the stream. I do not believe there is ever any static radiofree.ogg file created. It is used for streaming purposes only. Hi, I've just done some test with my icecast server that is in my LAN... It's really slow comparing to many shoutcast server. The bufferization (32 Ko) take about 3s comparing to 1s for distante servers ! What should I do to improuve this ? The whole rsync and dump to tapes works like charm for a few month now. The situation was as followed. That xls lived (and was backuped) happily for 5 days. Hi: If you're just wanting to serve static files then the fileserve function of icecast will probably serve you better. But yes, you would have to make a thousand files. Probably better to write some kind of script to push a .m3u or .pls file generated from the filename passed as a parameter. At least then you wouldn't have lots of tiny m3u files all over the place.
