Sorry to ask, but where can I find icecast2 and vorbis?
<p>www.icecast.org only talks about icecast, not icecast2.
Where an one find the apps/tools for the latest-greatest?
Tx in advance.

another icecast2 question
icecast 1.3 had the "nametemplate" option.. is there any way to
duplicate this in icecast2? i like to see our custom station info
(name/url) along side the artist/title info.

easy one..
nametemplate chemlab radio! - %s - http://chemlab.org
o if the currently playing track was "underworld - cowgirl" you'd see:
chemlab radio! - underworld - cowgirl - http://chemlab.org
crolling across your player....

weird..I posted this a few days ago, but it never showed up...
anyway, here it is (again) :)
---------------------------------------------------
while we are talking about disconnects, I'll mention the fact that
apparently when metadata song changes are done by a source (mine namely),
icecast2 seems to want to disconnect each listener. I have confirmed that
on metadata song changes, on

Vorbis releases are to be found on www.vorbis.com - to get Icecast2,
check out the module "icecast" from cvs.xiph.org. www.xiph.org/cvs.html
has the necessary instructions. Latest/Greatest versions of all Xiph
stuff can be found there, too.

IPC connections and utmp
Hi,
I am running Samba version 2.2.5 with utmp turned on. I have a problem with
utmp and not displaying who is currently logged in. The basic idea is that
even though a user has logged off the computer (win2k pro) a connection to
IPC$ remains. It gives this.

openssh + pam on solaris
this is an interesting one.. i hope someone can help out. i've got some
solaris 8 boxes set up with pam_ldap and nss_ldap using the iplanet ldap
sdk. openssh works until i enable SSL on the ldap server. when i turn
SSL on, the user auths, sees the lastlog message, sees the MOTD, then
nothing. with an openssh snapshot, you see the lastlog message only.
the weird thing is that you are

ugh. this is a showstopper.. is there any fix yet? i'm having the same
issue. if i HUP ices, it doesn't cause my client to reconnect (the song
changes and the metadata updates) but when it normally switches tracks,
the stream ends. i also see "invalid password" messages in my error
log..

indeed it does..nice work Mike :)
oh, and am I not supposed to see my responses to the list ? I get all
responses to my post, just not my original post, which is kind of
disconcerting if I don't get any responses to a post...anyway, at least
this bug is fixed...
now if we could only get the server to send stream data out as fast as it
can when a client first connects to eliminate the

Basic ISOLINUX question
Folks
I'm new to ISOLINUX and I've compiled a new Linux distribution of my oppwn
(based on LinuxFromScratch).
Now I want ot create a bootable CD with it - I don't need swap or anything
like that as the bootable CD will simply run a couple of scripts to copy
files onto a machine's hard drive.
What exactly do I need to put in my isolinux.cfg file? Do I *need* to have
a initrd or

mac: lib/gtk.pkg
Hello,
I'm sorry to just pop-up on the mailing list like this and ask a relatively non-R related question but I had no idea whom else to contact on this matter.
I'm working on a completely different port of an application to OS X which requires GTK and through Google'ing stumbled on a rather recent GTK installer for Mac at: http://r.research.att.com/
I was wondering if anyone here

Arabic Wiki
Hi guys,
I'm a MAJOR fan of CentOS and its proven itself a lifesaver many a time in
my professional and personal lives.
I was hoping to help out by contributing to the wiki by translating as much
as is possible of the wiki into Arabic. The thing is, the wiki is split
into several ISO based country codes and there are 22 countries where
Arabic is the national language, do I pick one in

Restricting file server access by group
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
This is for the same file server I wrote about earlier.
I would like to restrict access by group, as defined in LDAP. The
obvious solution is to add a filter to the login LDAP search that
restricts to gidNumber=10038 or 10001, since those are the groups I
need. From what I'm seeing, I need to add that to /etc/ldap.conf in the

UTMP problem and Samba

I have had a few tiny problems now that i have samba with utmp. First of
all, I killed a few stray smb processes by using kill -9 pid. Well, this
messed up my 'who' and 'finger' readings.
Now I have this

This is an update to iproute2 utilities including bug fixes and features
related to 2.6.22 kernel.
This package tries to be source compatible across releases.
The same source should build on older systems, but obviously the
newer kernel features won''t be available.

Progress report on git conversion
(Copied to Dave Hart at the NTP project, who's interested in the
code's progress for non-NUTty reasons. Dave, the background is that
I'm doing a trial conversion of the Network UPS Tools repo.)
First, repostreamer per se is dead. As it evolved it kept pulling
in more bits of code from reposurgeon until I said "screw it!" and
merged the repostreamer logic in as a reposurgeon
