icecast-1.3.12 on SunOS
Thomas,
unfortunately it does slow down the machine. I am working in a chroot
enviroment and there are other users on the same box. Therefore it's of
special importance that I don't consume the cpu by myself.

icecast-1.3.12 on SunOS
Hello,
I sent the mail below a few days ago to the icecast user discussion and
support list. Until now nobody could help me. Maybe this list is a
better place for problems of this kind?

Apart from what probably is a bad assumption in the code, does it actually
present a problem ? Meaning, even though it indicates 100% cpu usage, does
it slow down your machine

Hi,
I have compiled the Vorbis libraries and tools on Solaris 8 using Forte 6

* /usr/lib/shorewall contained only architecture independent files, those
files are moved to /usr/share/shorewall according to FSH

Shorewall 1.3.12 Beta 2
The first public Beta of Shorewall 1.3.12 is now available:
New features include:
1) "shorewall refresh" now reloads the traffic shaping rules (tcrules
and tcstart).
2) "shorewall debug [re]start" now turns off debugging after an error
occurs. This places the point of the failure near the end of the
trace rather than up in the middle of it.
3) "shorewall

wine 1.3.12 - alsa not showing in winecfg > audio
I'm running debian 6 on x86_64
installed 1.3.12 using the .debs from http://dev.carbon-project.org/debian/wine-unstable/
when I head to the audio tab in winecfg, i see plenty of modules EXCEPT for alsa. After thinking i lost my mind, i uninstalled wine1.3, and then re-installed. I wanted to make sure i didn't force the installer (as if a person can overlook the complaints). Yes,

FIFA 11 won't install in Wine 1.3.12
Hi! I've searched the forum (and the Internet) for this problem but apparently I'm lucky enough to be the only one experiencing it (yay!).
I've just installed Wine 1.3.12 and dotnet20 through winetricks in my Ubuntu 10.10. Everything went very smoothly. When I run "wine EASetup.exe" from the FIFA 11 DVD (not the physical disk but a mounted ISO), I get the initial install

admin 'rehash' broken in icecast 1.3.12?
I tried admin rehash for the first time since upgrading to 1.3.12 today. The
rehash took at least 30 seconds [If not longer -- I didn't time it very
closely] and icecast slowly snuck up to 99% CPU usage. I tried issuing the
'alias' command just to try and get a response from the console and that
never responded. [I waited about two minutes]
I had the same experience both of my

Another 1.3.12 "bug"...
This might have been something else that changed since I've upgraded. Or
maybe I simply never noticed before.
If one of my sources die, the clients will eventually get bumped over to
another source that hasn't died yet. I'm not sure what functionality this is
called or how [or if] this can be disabled. I turned off mountpoint
fallback, which I would have thought would have taken care

Icecast deadlock with 1.3.12 (fixed)
Folks,
I email abit ago about using 1.3.12 in my environment, and fixing a
dead-lock problem. Since 1.3.12 is 'obsolete', not supported, and GPL
I'm provided a patch to the mailing list of my changes to the the
src/soruce.c distributed file. (Its small but significant, as it allows
for transparent relays to work)
I need to use icecast 1 until icecast2 is a) released and b)

Icecast 1.3.12 stream jumping
WHQR and WDAV are streaming mp3 from two mountpoints on the same server.
When listening to one of them, the client sometimes jumps to the other.
I have heard this with xmms. A listener has reported it with an unknown
client, and personnel at WDAV have also heard it. I don't know their
client software, but could find out. This sounds more like an icecast
bug, however. Does anyone know anything
