Icecast2 under OpenBSD - update
Hi, I've come a step further in my attempt to compile Icecast2 under OpenBSD... I didn't have the pth library installed (d'oh), but ´cd /usr/ports/devel/pth && make install´ did the job. It still bails out at the same point, though, but this time with another error message: [...] gcc -O20 -fsigned-char -D_REENTRANT -I/usr/local/include/libxml -I/usr/local/include -I/include

Centos 4.3: VPN recommend/ howto anyone?
Hi, I'm just curious about setting up a new VPN here in the office part of our enterprise, as well as a second in our 75+ node data center co-location facility. Needing to stomp out the ****dows L2TP node here, just too many side-issues with config. I'd like it to run the same OS as all of our servers, e.g. Centos 4.3. Any recommedations on which software/server/client

reencoding OGG Vorbis
Hi! Inspired by the discussion about mixing Vorbis streams and so on I came to the question whether Vorbisstreams can be, just like MP3, reencoded without further loss. As I heard, and I am pretty sure that it's true, MP3 files can be decoded and reencoded unlimited times without further quality loss (of course the same encoder with the same preferences has to be used all the time). Is this

memdisk and harddisk image creation under Linux
I read the following about memdisk : .... For any other size, the image is assumed to be a hard disk image, and should typically have an MBR and a partition table. The disk C/H/S geometry is determined by examining the partition table, so the entire image should be partitioned for proper operation. .... I'd like to create a bootable cd, wich boots a linux and some other tools. While

Hi all !
I tested vorbis. I sounds good, but when I play something in mono, trebles are much stronger. Perhaps is stereo phase of hi bands removed to improve compression ? I't a good idea (it's not audible in most music), but it should also provide an option to preserve them. Is there docs that explains how dows vorbis compress sound ? oggenc (yearstday's cvs) creates only ~128k streams.

[PATCH] cpu.h: add defines for clang
Currently cpu.h lacks FLAC__SSE_TARGET and FLAC__SSEnn_SUPPORTED macros for clang. I added them, but I cannot properly test them as I can't get compiled flac.exe under Windows (don't know how to setup clang under MSYS2). If somebody has working clang, please test this patch. Does it affect en/decoding speed? Or at least, dows it affect disassembly of functions such as

install packages from intranet
Hi, I'm new to R. Apologies if this is a simple query, I've searched the mailing lists and docs but can't find a solution to my problem. I'm trying to make some packages available on our intranet. possible solution...?
Uaaargh ... between now and the last mail, everything's gone kaploohey. But I doubt that it concerns icecast too much in this case - the streaming computer has a cpu load of 90-100% for no reason (it's an athlon 1ghz with only winamp and ssh and the system monitor running under win98). The playback on the streaming computer sounds good, though, but what reaches the client side is no more

99% cpu usage help
I think the problem is that your icecast is wrong configured. If it has an configuratrion error that dows not shut it down at startup, it takes 99,9% cpu usage (thats my problem with, for example, a wrong path to configuration file at startup, or something like this).
