multiple shout streams
I'm running multiple instances of ices. Also, I found what the problem was with the constant stream. I was getting a default stream because I was using my local ip address to run the server, and when I tried to access the different streams from my outside ip address something got confused. I'm running it from my outside ip address and everything works fine. Does anyone know a what to run

cran@ci.tuwien.ac.at is not responding?
Hi, I have submitted a package to CRAN in ftp://ftp.tuwien.ac.at/incoming/pastecs_1.0.tar.gz. The R extension manual advises to send a mail to cran at ci.tuwien.ac.at about it, but it fails. I have also tried WWWadmin at ci.tuwien.ac.at. Are these email adresses still valid? Best, Philippe Grosjean ...........]<(({?<...............<?}))><............................... ) ) ) )

Question about the package "MatchIt"
Hi! I'm trying to perform propensity score matching on survey data and so for each individual observation I have a statistical weight attached. My question is: is there a way within the package to consider these weights in the matching procedure? Thank you very much. -- Maria Cristina Maurizio [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

matlab style plotting in R
Hello I was wondering how I can achieve matlab style plotting in R, in the sense that matlab allows you to plot multiple sets of variables within the same x-y axes. plot in R does not seem to cater for this. I tried 'overplot' from the gplots package but this assumes different y axes for the variables. any suggestions would be very appreciated Maria [[alternative HTML version

.Rhistory in R.app
Dear R users, I am having a minor but annoying issue with R.app. It doesn't retain the history information from the previous sessions. By "history," I mean a record of commands/functions entered into R rather than the list of objects--that is properly recorded in the .Rdata file as well as in a workspace file I save separately. System details: R version 2.9.0 R.app GUI 1.28 Mac OS

sampling from data frame
Hello, after searching through the archives and not finding a thread that answers this question, I thought I'd pass it on to the list. Given a data frame and given a factor variable that assigns a class to each case in the data frame, what is the most efficient way to sample a given number of cases from each class? I've found a roundabout solution that works as follows: for each class:

AW: Permissions problem with 3.0.8
We use LDAP backend and Linux 2.6. It happens only --with-acl-support. This 2 errors I found in the level 10 log when I try to copy a fresh copied file a second time on itself (permissions of test file are -r-xrw----, user and group match) Maybe the attribute mapping goes another path with acl support? 3.0.7 works fine.
