Ices2 compile error - streaming ogg!
Actually, you don't have to check out ogg and vorbis from CVS. You can just use Vorbis 1.0, if you like. ices was updated to use the Vorbis 1.0 encoding API, and that is the source of the errors the original poster was seing. --- Stan Seibert <p>On Wed, 2002-07-31 at 15:23, D. ices can't logon to server
Do you mean ices 0.2.3? If so, I'm still getting the same error. <p>On December 12, 2002 18:34, msmith@labyrinth.net.au wrote: > Duke <list_usr@spacebox.net> said: > > I'm certain I've got everything configured correctly, however, I keep > > getting the following message when trying to run ices: > > ices 0.x doesn't use the same protocol as

Ices2 compile error - streaming ogg!
Still trying to stream ogg and have not gotten past a make error in ices2. We www.freespeech.org are an independent media / news site so it would be nice to get this running and support this new format. I'd love to convert all of our 700 streaming video files from from realmedia as well but thats another story! Perhaps this is not the correct forum but it seems like there are a lot of

Some questions and problems about setting up Icecast2
I've finally decided to take the plunge and set up an Icecast 2 server on my Linux 2.4.18 machine. After asking in #vorbis, I was told that I need ice2 and ices. From what I understand, ice2 is the Icecast2 server, while ices is a program that sends it data to push to its clients. Am I right? After downloading both modules, the first problem I've ran into is executing the

problems building libvorbis-1.2.0 on Solaris 10 (sparc)
Hello, I'm running into problems while trying to build libvorbis. My build platform is Solaris 10 (sparc) (11/06) with GCC 3.4.6. ices 0.2.2 does not reencode mp3s
I recently upgraded ices from 0.1.0 to 0.2.2. I have found that it is not reencoding my mp3 stream, even though I have it configured to. This is on a RedHat linux 7.0 system, kernel 2.4.11 ices build commands: ./configure --with-perl --with-lame \ --with-lame-includes=/usr/local/src/lame-3.89/include \ --with-lame-libraries=/usr/local/src/lame-3.89/libmp3lame/.libs gmake
