Darkice Stream dispaying in Icecast Administration Page
Hello folks, when using Darkice to send a stream to an Icecast 1 server, the icecast administration page is not updated correctly. The mountpoint etc.. is all there, but the name of the darkice stream is not there. It has been replaced with the name of the default stream for the server. To ensure I had not overlooked anything, I had also tried the same thing with MuSE, and the same behaviour was

once again: [Too many errors (client not receiving data fast enough)]
Ok, I have seen that this is a common issue, and has been answered many times.... but I think mine is a bit different. Sorry if I am just being thick. <p><p>Local Setup: <p><p>Local net is 100mb, 9 boxes that don't do much, so no bandwidth issues. <p><p>Cable modem - 2mb down, 128k up (is there someplace I can 'measure' this?)

on-demand source as default mountpoint
Hi icecasters, Is there a way to attach a static file to a source client without using the /file subdirectory? What I'm trying to do is have a static file broadcasted on-demand via http://fooblah:8000/, but I can't uses ices (I think) since that just throws the file to the server without any sense of timing. If I use ices, listeners could tune in during the middle of the static file,

Using macros from Excel 2000 - Solved
Hi, I would like to say that I've just solved the problem with my macro. It worked, I didn't need of the M$ VB's environment. The problem was in the treatment of variables "date" into my macro. For example: date 03/09/2002. With Win98/Excel, the variable assumes value "03/09/2002". With Linux/Wine/Excel, the variable assumes "3/9/2002". Did you

sequential t-test - replies
[my original message to s-news & r-help is attached ] No one possessed or knew of any S/R code for the sequential t-test. Also it doesn't appear in the SAS index. One or two suggested obtaining the S+ seqtrial software which may (or may not) cover this, but this seemed to be a bit of a "hammer to crack a nut". I have written a function based on the treatment in Wetheril

change drop down list to radio buttons
In my RoR app I would like to change a drop down list, which dispays a list of colors selected from the database. Instead I would like to create a radio button for each color. The user is allowed to check one color and this will be saved back into the database as the color for this user. I don''t know how to do this. Currently it looks like this: <%= select(:user, :color_id,

quasi-random sequences
Dear list useRs, I have to generate a random set of coordinates (x,y) in [-1 ; 1]^2 for say, N points. At each of these points is drawn a circle (later on, an ellipse) of random size, as in: > N <- 100 > > positions <- matrix(rnorm(2 * N, mean = 0 , sd= 0.5), nrow=N) > sizes<-rnorm(N, mean = 0 , sd= 1) > plot(positions,type="p",cex=sizes) My problem is to

suggested changes to summary.glm and summary.lm (PR#2776)
Something for the wish list (not really a bug): I was reminded of what I see as a problem with summary.glm last week when some of my students fell into a trap in a homework exercise, defining a logit model in which coefficients were aliased. When this happens in lm, summary.lm prints a message ["Coefficients: (1 not defined because of singularities)"], but summary.glm is silent. In

Grandstream BT-101 POS Error
Hi- I'm at my wit's end trying to get a Grandstream BT-101 POS to register on my * server. Asterisk version is 1.2.1. GS Firmware is rev 1.0.6.7. Basically, I've setup the phone following the instructions at voip-info.org, and it registers for about 10 seconds, then after receiving the SIP NOTIFY from the * server, goes into "flashing display" mode, which indicates some

Printing from wine problem - loosing my hair
I have a Ubuntu 9.04 minimalist setup runing on a XEN vps. I only installed a few things like Wine, NX, cups (and cups-pdf), XFCE4. Works like a charm in every way except printing from Wine. I can print from native Linux apps to PDF but I get an error in Notepad and any other wine running app for that matter, StartPage failed. There are no errors in the /var/log/error_log or any mention of the

Dropping rows conditionally
Dear R-help team, I am getting addicted to using R but keep on getting many challenges on the way especially on data management (data cleaning). I have been wanting to drop all the rows if there values are `NA' or have specific values like 1 or 2 or 3. mdat <- matrix(1:21, nrow = 7, ncol=3, byrow=TRUE, dimnames = list(c("row1",
